"Bret was excellent in his promptness to our requests and follow up. During his initial visit, he listened to our needs and ideas and immediately showed us basically what he would do, where and why. We reviewed photos and discussed many options and he put together a simple and complete bid which was updated and presented to us whenever there was a change. He accommodated every request transparently, asking for approval prior. We now have a much larger patio due to his design using some previously unused area in which was installed a gorgeous sitting wall around a custom natural gas fire pit. Additionally, Bret has some excellent landscaping ideas and taste and incorporates just enough lighting to enhance everything. His workmen are highly skilled, very friendly, attentive, disciplined and cleaned up every day. Whenever I asked questions they gave me good answers. "I am a wanna be gardener but really don't know where to start.  I got a planting plan from a landscape designer with the idea that I could do it myself. I had 4 mature coniferous shrubs that I wanted removed and realized soon that the job was more than what I wanted to handle. I contacted Shannon Landscape & Construction and Brian Shannon came out within a week to look at my project. He gave me a verbal estimate of $1500 and said they could get to it this fall.  The next day I received the written proposal and scheduled it for the following week. The project included removing all old existing sod, removing old shrubs, trimming all other remaining shrubbery and trees (which included one maple and one ornamental cherry), clean up and haul away all debris, bring in 3 yards soil mix.  Prep the ground for the lawn and garden beds. Install approx 200 sq ft of sod. The estimate included all labor, material and equipment and estimated a 3 man crew for 7.5 hours.
    The crew arrived right on time and worked very quickly.  So quickly that they were done in about 4 hours - so I asked if they could do some yard clean up in the back.  Alex, the crew foreman called the office and got the go  ahead to do that and in another 1.5 hours had cleaned up and removed a lot of overgrown plant material.
     Everyone I spoke with at this company is very professional.  It was a pleasure doing business with them and I will definitely be using them again.

"Alan was quickly responsive to my initial contact, and came out to assess and bid the job. Since we were under time constraints, and Alan could do the work we did not look for other bids. Alan’s crew came in and removed/disposed of the carpets in our large basement area, scraped off existing linoleum in another room, and scraped off wood floor glue on another area. They then did a grind on the concrete floor to expose the clean surface, stained it and applied 2 coats of poly sealer. All work was professional, Alan was great to work with (even allowed us to add an additional area to the job at the last minute), and the floor looks fabulous.
Highly recommended.
