"If you're looking for a contractor that stands behind the quality of their work you might want to rethink hiring Dreamscapes Home Improvements. Dreamscapes charged me $800 for a new chimney flashing when they installed my new roof in August of 2015. In October of 2018, the first time I had been in my attic since the installation of my new roof, I noticed that the roof had been leaking for some time on the north side of my chimney as the plywood was heavily stained in the area of the leak. I believe a new roof should remain leak free for longer than 3 years so I called Joel at Dreamscapes. He came out and made a cursory inspection of the chimney, but didn't find an obvious cause of leak. He said he would come back the following Friday with his son to do a more extensive search for the cause of the leak and make a correction to a section of the flashing was that was sagging in the center. Like I said that was in October of 2018, this is August of 2019. I haven't heard from anyone at Dreamscapes since that day and they haven't responded to any of my communications. I believe that I have since found the cause of the leak myself. Things seem to be staying dry at least for now. The problem I found I was where the mason that had previously rebuilt my chimney left a dime sized void that should have been filled with mortar allowing rain to get behind the bricks. I would have been willing to pay Dreamscapes for finding and making that repair since it had nothing to do with the work they had done, but they completely blew me off. The point I'm trying to make is; if you're looking for a contractor who will stand behind his work and make a warrantee repair for you when things go wrong, this isn't the guy you want."

The workmen arrived at the designated time and day and got the air conditioning running by the end of the first day, since the weather was hot. We appreciated their thoughtfulness. They then completed the furnace installation the second day. One of the service men took time to show me everything they had completed, including how to clean the overflow valve with the brush provided. He left a booklet with written instructions and phone numbers in case we had questions or concerns. While this was an expensive upgrade to our heating and cooling needs, we felt we received quality service and honest input into our decisions. We were very happy with the professional work. The cleaned up the mess they made in the basement and took the cardboard boxes from the new equipment, as well as the old furnace, for recycling. <br />"

They were efficient and cleaned up after they were done. They fixed the hole in the chimney stucco and matched the color of the original stucco so that one cannot tell the repairs from the rest of the house."

"Had a leak in the ceiling - they came out discovered that the leak was coming from the roof vent covering the bath room stand pipe. They went to a supply store, purchased the vent covering, ran some water over the newly installed vent covering and that solved the problem. They also checked the rest of the roof to see if everything else was ok, as I requested, and it was. Finally, they returned the next day to check if the attic insulation needed replacing due to the water leakage, and it does not. <br /> There was no charge for that return trip, but I felt compelled to TIP them $40.00, that seemed to be the honest thing to do on my part. <br />"
