"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"The team at Kitchen Options did a tremendous job with cabinet refacing and installing new counters. The kitchen was transformed from a dark, oak wood based cabinet kitchen to a warm, inviting, and bright, white cabinet kitchen through refacing. The refacing team are experts in their craft, answered all of our questions, and left us with a new kitchen that is perfect for entertaining. We could not be happier with the cabinet refacing and countertops installed by the team at Kitchen Options."

"Great quality cabinets and reface. Had a hybrid project done on my kitchen. We had the uppers replaced and extended to the ceiling with a crown moulding and had the lower cabinets refaced. CC Woodcrafters did a great job. The skilled craftsmen that did the work at my house were polite, respectful and cleaned up each day. They were attentive to detail, were there every day until the job was completed and did a great job. I would highly recommend them and felt I could trust them in my home. The owners Charlie and Cheryl listened to what I wanted and matched the stain and glaze that I wanted. The finish on the cabinets are beautiful. There was an issue with them keeping to the start date that was set, however it was worked out and completed by the date I needed my kitchen done. Another issue we had was the measurement of the cabinets on one wall was off, but Charlie was able to satisfactorily resolve it, he would have made a new cabinet if needed but I didn't want the job held up and delayed. Overall a great job my kitchen is beautiful and I love it!"

"It went well! I expected it to take a long time to get it picked up, but I called for the bag to be emptied on Friday and they were here Saturday! I am already filling it up again. (We have a MESS from the storm and need to finish the kitchen before this weekend's company coming in from out of town.) I have already called them to request my bag be emptied on Friday, and they have me on the schedule! I can't believe the customer service is so great! This is not a regular dumpster company. I have a dumpster delivered last summer and they gouged my driveway. What a nightmare it was to get them to pay for the driveway to be fixed. NEVER AGAIN! It's BullBag only for our future needs."

"Steven at Custom Woodwork & Design is truly the best person I have ever hired. He was meticulous in his design work and attention to detail and fully exceeded our expectations. I am a real estate agent and would recommend him for any of my clients. Here is a description of my project: I had purchased factory made cabinets used and retrofitted them to my kitchen.I ended up purchasing two additional cabinets to get everything to fit right in the space, but it still left two awkward gaps. One was a tall 9 inch space next to our pantry cabinet, and the other was an 8 inch space at the end of a row of cabinets. We talked to about 5 contractors before we reached out to Custom Woodworking and Design. All of them said they could do it, but couldn't seem to figure out a design that worked and gave up. Within 24 hours of meeting with Steven, we had drawings to scale that incorporated what we wanted and so much more than we could have envisioned ourselves. He was able to incorporate adjustable bookshelves, a wine glass rack and a wine rack into the tall cabinet. His drawings alone were evidence of the type of care Steven puts into his work, with the bookshelves lined with books of all different colors in his sketches. And the final product is amazing. The two custom cabinets with all of the amazing elements cost me LESS than one factory built pantry cabinet. The exterior of the cabinets were painted white (sprayed) to match my other cabinets, a shaker style panel was built to match, the interior was all maple with an oak detail on the front of the adjustable shelves. And the turnaround time for all of this was a couple of weeks from design to install. Unbelievable. Words can't describe how thankful I am to have found Steven and how beautiful the final product is. Please feel free to reach out for pictures.I love showing off my beautiful kitchen. lyndsey.daigneault@gmail.com."

"Great process. Easy to work with and professional. Carved out the date picked out the product we liked from the many options available and Keen Eye completed the job. Power washed the deck for prep and did a great job with the stain. Would use Keen Rye again and have recommended to others already as well. A++ in my book."

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Bristol, RI

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
