Douglas Marshall Cooper Associates is a full-service design and construction firm whose practice encompasses both new and existing buildings of residential and commercial use, as well as speculative housing and development. Mr. Cooper’s office is located in Pound Ridge, New York and includes a staff of himself, an associate partner, three assistants and a host of carpenters, masons, and laborers, in addition to various subcontractors that work on projects small to large. Douglas Marshall Cooper Associate's roots are based in Construction, Design, Real Estate Investment and Development & Construction Management. "I wish I could give zero stars. We hired Douglas for a kitchen remodel which involved installing a kitchen island, pantry, and all the related plumbing and electrical work. The communication between Douglas and his carpenter was terrible. We submitted sketches and agreed upon the design for the cabinets which were meant to be overlaid. When the island arrived, the cabinets were inset which did not match the rest of the kitchen. In addition, the kitchen island has split and cracked at more than half of the joints. The pantry cabinet has split and areas of unpainted MDF are showing. We have needed to paint and touch up many of these spots. Regarding the plumbing, we have had multiple significant leaks from piping and tubing that the team installed. Water has leaked even through the floor and into the basement. Upon review from other plumbers, all have confirmed the parts used were cheap and of low quality, and the workmanship was subpar. After a major leak in the middle of the night, we reached out to Douglas and respectfully voiced our issues and complaints. He ignored us for a full month, and then instead of simply stopping by to take a look at the problems (which would have been the first major step to alleviating our frustrations), he responded in a despicable manner. He even included the following quote from his lawyer, He laughed saying that perhaps you lost your job (due to the CoronaVirus) and were probably scrounging for any money you could scrape up. Who would want to work with someone like this?"

I was inquiring about solar due to me needing a new roof on my home and they stated they will replace my old roof free of charge. They promised me a $5000 bonus to sign up , a new electrical panel in my garage, and a brand new roof to put their solar panels on. They also stated I would pay a fixed rate of $95 a month for the next 20 years due to me owning the panels. I asked many many questions. They assured me and laughed at me that they’ve been in business 16 Years. There is nothing to worry about and there is no scheme here so they sent people with drones to look at my roof, they sent people on my roof to check it out. They all said yes the roof needs to be replaced one very soon. So two workers came and said they need to do minor repairs on my roof as they aren’t replacing the roof he said no it’s not in your budget for the plan that I was getting. I tried to contact my sales rep several times. No answer. I was referred to his supervisor Logan Christiansen to no avail. He also stopped answering my calls. they all stated is your roof needs to be replaced but in order to do that I would have to pay either $11,000 or not sign up with them. I then sent a drone of my own on the roof to look at what they did they left my roof patched up and taught everywhere 10 times worse as it was before. Just please learn from my mistakes do not sign up with this attyx company. Please learn for my mistakes. They will send salesman to your house promise you the world and take advantage of your lack of knowledge so now I have a messed up roof, no solar panels and they refuse to answer my calls if you can, please advise on what next steps I should take before taking legal action."
