"<p>The estimator arrived at our home at 8:00 AM on a Saturday morning, as had been previously scheduled.   He examined the project, made thorough measurements, and followed-up with a comprehensive, written estimate and schedule for the project.  He mentioned the various stages of the project:</p> <p>First Visit</p> <p>(1) Removal and disposal of the old surface.</p> <p>(2) Removal of approximately 270 feet of Belgian block curbing and preparation of the curbing area for the reinstallation of the Belgian block in a new cement base.  This was done ever so carefully so as not to damage the Belgian block during its removal.</p> <p>(3) Repair of the driveway subsurface drainage (which had been poorly done when the home was built).</p> <p>(4) Preparation of the driveway gravel subsurface.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Second Visit  (Three weeks later ... arriving on the day and time scheduled at the start of the project).</p> <p>(1) All Belgian block curbing was carefully aligned and reinstalled ... in a proper cement base for long-term stability.</p> <p>(2) This was done with minimal invasion of the lawn area behind the Belgian block, and without any damage to the many plantings running the length of the Belgian block curbing .</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Third (and final visit ... two weeks after installation of the Belgian block).</p> <p>(1) Again the crew arrived on time (on the day and time scheduled at the start of the project).</p> <p>(2) They resurfaced the entire driveway with asphalt  ... leaving the work area pristine with temporary barriers to prevent anyone from inadvertently driving on the surface while it dried and cured over the next  several days.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>During the entire project (from the original call for an estimate, to the final steps) the management, office staff and crews were professional, polite, competent, and always on-time ... doing what they said they would do when they promised.</p> <p>If we ever have need for a similar project, I would not even bother to get competitive bids.  I would simply call SILVERIO and trust them with the job.  Their work, communication and customer service were impeccable.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Had used another company previously but was looking to change to another company. Found SealPro on this site, and after reading some reviews and checking their site I called and asked a few follow up questions. Satisfied with the answers I retained SealPro. There price was competitive with what I previously paid, but I can't say if the price was high, low or just right since I didn't get other estimates. Had to wait a while for them to schedule me, and that happened only when I called to inquire as to when they might be coming. I was told that due to the amount of rain they were a bit backed up (reasonable answer) and they could actually schedule me in a couple of days. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and the driveway looks as good as one could hope for given what sealing does. The few questions I had when they were on site were answered well, and I felt very comfortable with my choice. Just have to manage your expectations because there were a few imperfections and I actually consulted someone I know out of state who explained to me what causes those imperfections, in that sealing is not a resurfacing and imperfections that were there previously sometimes become more noticeable with a fresh application of sealant."

"Steve showed up when promised for estimate and provided a very competitive price for a fairly large driveway. Although it is late in the season work was scheduled the next week. Steve and his crew of 4-5 workers showed up when promised and worked a full day for the rip out cleaning up nicely afterwards. They laid down the gravel next and let it set about a week. Again they returned punctually as promised and laid down the new asphalt in a couple of hours. They paid a lot of attention to detail and final result. Would highly recommend."

"We contacted Joshua paving in late May and within a week they had an estimator at our home. We described what we wanted and the estimator took measurements and gave us a price. The work was scheduled to take place in two weeks. On the appointed day, a foreman arrived in the early afternoon and took measurements again and phoned them in to the asphalt plant where the asphalt truck was being loaded. Within twenty minutes, a crew arrived with the necessary equipment and went right to work. They proceed in a finely orchestrated fashion to weed-whack, clean and prepare the existing surface to receive new blacktop. The new parking pad was excavated; item 4 was laid and compacted. When they started laying asphalt, they started with the new parking pad and worked their way toward the road. Again, their movements were finely orchestrated and they moved swiftly but precisely, all of the workers with their individual role, either working by hand with the shaping rake, or operating a roller and compactor machine. All the edges were finely shaped. The incline was tracked as they proceeded to insure no drainage problems. The foreman gave a close inspection and after two and a half hours, the driveway was completed. The staff was very courteous and friendly, responsive to all of my questions. The whole job was completed in a very professional manner and at a price that honored the estimate. I could not be happier with the work and with the whole experience. I have no hesitation in recommending Joshua Paving for anyone in the four county areas considering having their driveway repaved. You get more than you pay for with Joshua Paving."

"I left a phone message for A-1 Asphalt Sealing of Mahopac, NY (lower Hudson Valley) on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, anticipating a response the following Tuesday. Instead, within 2 hours, Tom Marry, the owner, had come to the house, declared the driveway in good condition, provided me the cost for sealing, and given me specific instructions on how to prep some oil spots on the asphalt prior to sealing. I agreed, did the prep as guided, and Tom completed the work on Wednesday. He and crew were careful not to get coating onto plants bordering the driveway. The coating looks quite uniformly applied, has hardened well, and I trust its protection will last several years. <br /> Tom clearly takes pride in his work, in the reputation of his business, and in servicing his customers in a responsive and professional manner. Given the cost of materials to do this as a D-I-Y project, I am quite happy with my decision to give the job to A-1 Asphalt Sealing, and anticipate contacting Tom again when it comes time to apply another coat of sealant. Tom did not try to "up-sell" me in any manner.
