"Initially, things went great. They were responsive on the phone and had all the paperwork my building required to start the work. There was some initial discrepancy in the scope of work but I take some of the responsibility for that since I wasn't double checking the exact wording on their estimate which was different from what we discussed in person and over the phone. Also, I never saw the main contractor I initially spoke at my job site. He should've been there to monitor the work and check in with me to see if the work was looking close to what I asked for. I told them from the start what I wanted and even showed them pictures of exactly what I was going for, the results were far different. They seemed to cut corners and take no pride in the work they completed. The bathroom work they did was so bad I now have to completely redo it. There are huge gouges in the floor. Throughout the apartment, the stain essentially looks like a bad uneven paint job. They even got it all over the baseboards. They clearly did not polish the floors enough because its rough everywhere. I paid over $10k for floors that look ugly and now there is nothing to do but cover them up with area rugs. Also, some of my personal supplies were missing but they did compensate me for it. UPDATE: After discussing my dissatisfaction with the results, NYC Stone care did try and figure out a way to make up for it and I appreciate their handling of the matter."

"I am writing this review to share my experience with Bryan owner of A1 Stone Care. I have granite countertops and a tile backsplash. I was stuck in a very upsetting situation as my old range died and all the replacements available today require a 30 inch wide opening (mine was 29 inches) and more depth than I had. A granite spacer needed to be removed. I was a stressed out wreck over it all. I reached out to various companies and Bryan was the only one who wanted to come to the house and see the issue vs give me a virtual estimate based on pictures and explanations. I understand that this is a small job for many companies, but that set him apart and was a MAJOR reason as to why I chose him. Very friendly and very neat. His price was VERY fair. He also reassured me that should my stove arrive and not fit for any reason, he would return to make it right. He wanted me to know he stands behind his work. Love that! "John was a great professional with excellent skills in his business. My 10+ years old granite countertop shifted at two joints to show visible gaps. On his visit, John assessed the problem and what caused it; he found the cabinet base beneath a large granite slab was poorly framed and required fortification. He referred me to a carpenter for add more support to the base. Then John came to fix the gaps. He was meticulous in re-aligning the pieces and in mixing the glue with the right color for the joints. The repaired countertop now looks like new, and we are very happy. We do not hesitate to recommend John to anyone who needs his expertise in granite repair."
