"Mixed. A quick response for inspection (done by Bill) and scheduling for mold remediation, which was done by 2 workers (John and Jen) during the height of a heat wave. However, extremely poor follow-up regarding installation of a dehumidifier (if I'd known how simple this was, I would have ordered and done this myself - just plug it in, program a few super-easy settings and attach the drainage line). . I thought that the initial price for the remediation was fair, but I was advised that an easily available dehumidifier for ~$200.00 was not sufficient and I agreed to an allegedly higher-quality unit for $300.00. The remediation was done on a Saturday and a fan was left running until Monday evening. When John returned for the fan removal and some other follow-up work, he said that he would stop at The Home Depot on his way home to pick up the dehumidifier and that he would call me on the next day, but he NEVER called me. The office manager (Melissa) was on vacation and I left a phone message and tried to reach the company via the website for whomever was covering during Melissa's absence, but I did not receive a return call. I finally reached Melissa after her return. . More than 3 weeks after the fan removal, a temporary dehumidifier was hooked up (I was not told the reason for a delay regarding the "permanent" unit). The pump did not work, so I had to manually empty the unit twice daily for 9 days until the "permanent" unit was installed (which is very loud and runs 24/7, rather than cycling on and off). Subsequently, through online research, I discovered that this unit was available and in stock from a variety of sources for as low as $215.06 from Target.com - and I paid Eco Tech LLC $300.00 for what I was told was better than the $200.00 units. Two days ago, I e-mailed Bill about this, with no response. Last night, I forwarded that same e-mail to Melissa and, thus far (as of 1:30 p.m. during the weekday), I have not received any response from her or anyone else."

"The owner, Shawn, is clearly busy as his next availability was two weeks out. Good for him. On appointment day, he arrived several minutes early in a clean truck and with a very good personal appearance and friendly attitude. He donned those little booties and went to work.
We haven't had the pipe cleaned in 15 years and was it ever ready! He removed a large amount of fluffy lint, cleaned up all around and was done in about 45 minutes. We feel better that we had this done and expect the dryer to run more efficiently thus saving us some money and possibly extending the life of the unit.
I notice on his card he does many other cleaning type jobs. We would certainly seek him out should the need present itself.

"Wow. What a great experience with this company. My wife and I bought a circa-1888 Victorian in Chestnut Hill five years ago and did an extensive renovation. Little did we know that, for decades probably, water had been leaking behind a section of wall in our third floor master bedroom and dripping down to our second floor office. We started noticing subtle signs of damage, opened the wall, felt moisture, and smelled mold. We first had the source of the roof leak fixed. Then, per the good reviews on Angie's List, we called Mastertech. Mr. Leonard Wendowski came out, used a moisture meter to determine the extent of the damage and did a pre-service mold test, the results of which showed high levels of mold. Leonard carefully explained what his company would do to remediate the issue. Although my wife and I were horrified about having to take off two walls in our fully-decorated house, Leonard's obvious technical knowledge and his professional manner put us at ease. On the day of the work, the team arrived on time, covered the wood floor, carefully erected an excellent plastic barrier sealing off the affected sections of the rooms, and as neatly-as-humanly-possible performed the removal of the walls, carefully avoiding damage to our trim and electrical. Leonard's team were the nicest guys around, and I felt completely comfortable having them in my house. Jarrod was the certified mold remediation specialist and Tony is the certified technician who set up the powerful dehumidification and negative air machines. Although all the accessible mold-covered sections were remediated directly, they explained to me that as mold dries it goes in search of moisture by shooting out spores. So while the dehumidification was going on, the powerful pull of the negative air system effectively pulled all the mold spores through a filter and out the window. They kept these big machines going for 24-48 hours per protocol and then came out again to test the moisture. After the areas were sufficiently dry, they carefully removed all the machines without a bit of damage to our stairway walls or handrails. Post-service testing showed only normal, natural, minimal amounts of mold remaining. My wife and I could not have asked for a better experience, and we therefore highly, highly recommend this excellent company.
