"Glad to be done with cleaning gutters out. Have several trees and was forced to use the 'basket covers' on downspouts to keep leaves and whirlybirds out of the downspouts that drain underground."

"I wanted to get someone to look at the gutters on a rental home I own.  Bruce got to the place, looked it over, and gave me a quote in a short amount of time.  I decided to go with Gutter Systems because Bruce was the one who was prompt in getting back to me the couple times I contact him.  We lined up a time to meet and he was there on time.  We did a walk around and he told me what he recommended in both color and changes to the location of the downspouts.  He said he would get to it the following week which he did.  The crew got it done in one day and cleaned up the site.  Two minor issues that my renter reported when she returned from work the day they installed the gutters were these:  the gates to the property were left open and an internet cable had been knocked down and was on the ground.  I called Bruce and he returned promptly in a day or two and took care of the cable.  I feel Bruce worked to do a quality job and was responsive to me. <br />"

J's Rain Drains installs drain pipes (tile) from gutter down spouts and sump pump outlets to divert the water away from your homes foundation. We have the unique ability to bore under the sidewalk to install the tile. We never lift a section up. J's always uses a catch basin in our instillation so that the down spout will not blow out in the back from ice build-up. We also address water issues in other areas as well. We use golf course quality Rain Bird products to ensure the best results.

"They are excellent! They quoted me a really reasonable price compared to others. They were fast. They tore off the old and put on the new and were completed with the entire job, including cleaning up and leaving my house, within 45 min."

"Dave was out a few times. The first time was to look at my Metro Steel Shingle roof and see if they could do a Gutter Glove installation on it. He assured me that they could. He also came out during the install and after it was done. I had looked at many other products, and felt that Gutter Glove was the top of the line. They are a bit pricey, but I also felt that they were the best value for my money. The crew did a very nice thorough job on the install, as it was not easy on that roof. I would highly recommend them. "

"We are so relieved to have found Gutters Direct to replace our gutters after we experienced some flooding in our basement. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Mike is a terrific communicator and responded very quickly to my request for a quote. As relatively new homeowners, it can be stressful to find companies that are trustworthy and reliable. Mike is the best person we have found so far in 3 years. Meeting him was a pleasure—he was very kind, honest, and open to our questions, and ended up giving us the most reasonable quote we received with the longest warranty. His crew came out soon afterwards and were also friendly, considerate, and professional. Our new gutters are much better than the ones we had before. They also look great and even match our house perfectly. The service we received from Gutters Direct was exceptional in every way. This is a company committed to quality, integrity, great customer service, and value, a combination that every homeowner wants and is increasingly hard to find. Too bad we can’t hire them to do everything else we need for the house."

FAQs for gutters & downspouts cleaning service projects in Brownton, MN

You’ll want to clean gutters once or twice a year—in early spring and again in fall—to keep water flowing and avoid pricey leaks. Homes tucked beneath tall trees or hit with heavy debris may need two to four visits instead. Staying on schedule protects your roof, siding, and foundation from costly water damage.

Even with gutter guards, plan on an occasional cleaning—just not as often as homes without guards. Installing gutter guards blocks leaves, but grit and shingle granules still slip through and pile up over time. A quick sweep keeps water moving and stops overflow that can damage your roof or foundation.

Watch for overflowing water, slow or silent downspouts, sagging sections, or debris peeking over the gutter edge. You might also spot water stains, weeds, or an increasing number of ants in certain areas. Any of these red flags means it’s time to call a gutter cleaning pro for service before minor clogs turn into major leaks.

Skip cleanings for too long and gutters overflow, sending water under shingles, down siding, and toward the foundation. The result can be mold, rotted fascia, basement leaks, and repair bills that dwarf the price of a quick cleaning. It can also mean that future cleanings will be more expensive as it will take pros longer to deep clean gutters that are full of heavy debris. Staying on schedule saves money and headaches.

Plan on gutter cleaning service to take an average of one hour for an average single-story home and two to three hours for taller houses. Add extra time if gutter guards need to come off or clogs are packed in. Pros work methodically, clearing every linear foot so water can flow freely again.
