"Bollers was extremely prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. Mark, the owner, personally gave the estimate and was part of the crew that returned to clean our carpets. The Bollers team did a fantastic job! Our carpets look as good as new. Price was fair, steaightforward, and competitve. Will happily use their services again."

"Russell went WAYYY above and beyond!!! He hung the blinds and mirrors and completed the bathroom floor with the peel and stick plank tiles I purchased, but was not happy with it due to the planks warping on the floor in some spots (I do NOT recommend you use peel and stink plank tiles). The floor was primed and Russell also glued them down and they still warped in spots. Russell called me before I even had time to call him and said he wasn't happy with the floor and if I wanted him to, he would rip it up and replace it and not charge me any additional labor to do that. He offered to do this that very next day after he laid the peel and stick tiles. He also offered to go to the flooring store and find me a higher quality glue down tile that was still within my budget that was close to the color I originally had him lay. I guess he could sense the hesitation in my voice because I was on a budget and didn't really want to spend more money on the floor. He then remembered he had some extra tile at home that would be enough to cover my bathroom floor and said he would just give it to me if I wanted it. It was a lighter color than what I had so he brought it to my work to show to me. I ended up choosing the tile he had instead of buying more tile and it looks great! He installed it that day. He said I would be much happier with that floor than the original one he laid (that he mentioned when giving me that quote that I probably wouldn't like). I ABSOLUTELY 100% RECOMMEND RUSSELL!!!! From here on, anytime I need floor work done, he is who I will use and will recommend him to anyone I know in the area that ever asks me about flooring."

"needed to have my carpets cleaned and had hesitated and very worried about who to call due to the last time we had it professionally cleaned but really needed it to be professionally done, carpet was really looking bad. After looking on Angie List and calling a few companys with my questions about their services I felt like Advanced Carpet Cleaning was the one I felt was going to do the job I wanted. They came right on time as scheduled, looked at my carpets and chair and gave us the estimate which I felt was very good (comparing to the last time it was done and other prices when calling others for estimates and was even lower than what was estimate over the phone). They treated all areas that needed pretreatment ( heavy traffic areas) and spots, moved any furnture that we asked to be moved.Worked very quickly, throughly and made sure even high traffic areas were cleaned throughly before finished in a very timely manner. Was very pleased with the end results and carpets and chair looked great. They were very professional and courteous. Would recommend them to friends and family in the future and plan on using the again."

"The folks they hire for installation did a great job. The organization and planning went terribly. The work order I signed had a Friday as both the start date, and estimated completion date, for all 3 flooring jobs. When that Friday rolled around, the crew that came to take care of the laminate and LVT came to tell me they weren't given a diagram, and they concluded they didn't have enough supplies to do the LVT job. I talked to their manager about rescheduling that service, and came to find out the carpet job wasn't scheduled to start until Saturday. The sales rep, and clearly the work order, had my carpet installation scheduled to start Friday. I ended up sticking with that schedule and not cancelling since I received a discount (another saving grace), but then of course the carpet installers didn't show up early enough to finish their work, so they had to come back on Sunday. I also had to call Empire since the LVT installer never showed and I come to find out there was an emergency and they had to reschedule the LVT installation for Monday. So a project I was initially told would all be done on Friday lasted until Monday."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Bryan, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
