"Everything went great. My system is 14 yrs and needed a complete update. I also have a number of garden spots that needed to be addressed. CAPS replaced all sprinkler heads and attached pipes, valves, control box, rain guage, the works. They did a great job and my system is so much more efficient. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. When the job was finished Domingo made sure I knew how to adjust the heads, set the control box, and winterize the system. I was very pleased and will definitly use them to service my system going forward."

"The first guy came out to inspect the house was extremely nice and identified squirrels, but the technician that came out said it was not squirrels and said it was rats. I told him I saw them enter the attic and I was concerned with the traps he was putting for rats. They did seal off my house and I have not had any issues since."

"Junior and his team were phenomenal.  Came in and completely tore down and rebuilt 2 gates for our fence that another contractor had built and totally screwed up. What took the first contractor 16 days to "complete", Junior came in and had everything done in less than one day.  The craftsmanship is superb, the professionalism is second to none.  Will be hiring him again. <br />"

"after not being able to repair the shower valve, they installed an incorrect valve for the location. It should have been a 2 way shower diverter valve instead of a regular bath/shower valve. Never worked correctly."

"Mark and Vicki are very professional and knowledgeable. They are also very trustworthy, honest, and loyal. Mark always returns my calls within twenty four hours. He addresses any concerns we have promptly. We are in our 60's and have worked with many landscaping companies over the years and quickly recognize good contractors when we use them. This company is all about good service at a reasonable price. I cannot say enough good things about them and their company. <br />"

"The personnel were punctual, reliable and finished ahead of schedule. Unlike contractors we have used in the past, there was never a problem in getting in touch with them. When we had a rain storm come through in the middle of the project, a drainage problem was discovered. The supervisor quickly devised a solution and rerouted the the flow of drain water. We paln to use them again and are already working on plans for more landscaping on the property. <br />"

"<p>The service and responsiveness from McCulloch Remodeling was unlike anything my family has experienced before.  I started what I expected would be a simple ceiling fan installation in my daughter's bedroom in a College Station condo she shares with two friends.  I only brought the tools that a simple installation would require.  It turned out that the light fixture box was plastic and not braced well enough to support a fan.  Not only that, but after taking the light fixture box out, there was no apparent way to even put the light back up because of the incredibly dumb way the builder had attached it.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>So, late on a Friday I turned to Angie's List and saw that McCulloch Remodeling was available for emergency calls.  When I called, Clay listened to my predicament and then patiently described what I could purchase at Home Depot to safely install the fan myself to save the cost of a service call.  However, I didn't feel comfortable because of the limited tools I had with me in College Station and because of an existing metal brace that I couldn't figure out how to avoid or use.  Clay sent me off to Home Depot to get the part before they closed, and headed to meet me at my daughter's place.  He spent nearly two hours of his time coming up with a good, safe way to install the fan and started the installation.  He would have completed the installation but I had stripped the threads of a screw that was needed and by this time Home Depot was closed.   He walked me through everything remaining that was needed until I was completely comfortable completing the job the next day myself, once I was able to get the few remaining parts needed.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>It was clear from my discussions with Clay during this work that he is extremely knowledgeable (I'm an engineer so I asked a lot of questions!)  and is very "hands on" in his business.  HIs background and his clear desire to help out and do a good job makes it easy for me to recommend him highly for any home repair or remodeling job. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>When Clay went  to leave, I asked for the bill, ....but he absolutely refused to accept any payment!  He said to chalk this one up as a "Good Ag" just helping out another.  This was without him even knowing that the reason I had such a high urgency to get the fan installed was that my daughter was in a bad automobile accident recently.   She was hit head on by a drunk driver going 70 mph, but she is bravely going to go to school this semester with the help of an electric mobility scooter.  The fan is needed because the combination of medications she is on makes her very warm at times.</p> <br />"

"I had just had new sod installed, only to discover my sprinkler system was not properly functioning. Mr. Spearman and his associate responded to my urgent plea for quick service since I did not want to let the new sod dry out. They arrived ON TIME, went quickly to work, made adjustments and replaced some malfunctioning sprinkler heads, and had my system working correctly in short order. His prices were reasonable, they were professional, did not tear up my yard doing their work, and I would DEFINITELY use them again and refer others to him."

"The estimate seemed vague to me. When I asked how many sprinkler heads, the owner bristled. His wife, who is listed as the president of the company, stated that was because some people and quot;fishand quot; for designs and then do it themselves. The owner later stated that people and quot;stealand quot; designs and and quot;there is nothing you can do about itand quot;. That was never my intent and it put things and quot;off balanceand quot; from that point on. <br /> The contract called for the front flower bed to and quot;receive the same border, reset on a flexible base of Portland cement and sand, then lined with fabric and backfilled with prepared bedding mix soil...and quot; <br /> The flower bed they built missed on all points. It was not the and quot;same borderand quot; - it was one stone high, instead of two. They laid the stones in the dirt that was there, and they did not line it with fabric. I rated the professionalism and quot;Fand quot; because I cannot understand how they missed the requirements in the written contract so completely. <br /> When I pointed this out, the owner's wife just said, without apology: and quot;people make mistakes, what else can I say?and quot; <br /> While they did fix the problem promptly, I was treated as if I were asking for a favor, rather than holding them to the work they were paid to do. <br /> I rated the quality of the work and quot;Fairand quot;, because they came back and did the flower bed correctly. <br /> The owner asked to come to my house to pick up the final check. Distrust until the last. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Bryan, TX

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
