"Denise was a pleasure to work with. She was the first to contact me, we set an appointment and within a week we had an appointment to shop for the granite. After my husband and I found the granite that we LOVED, Denise assured us that she could have it installed before Christmas. Denise arranged for her crew to come out and re-measure for the cuts. Our beautiful granite countertops were installed within 3-weeks, just in time for Christmas. The crew was great , very clean and professional."

"Removal of existing tile in our laundry room and replaced with new tile. They were a joy to work with. Came in and unhooked and moved washer and dryer to garage, removed very heavy 8ft door and removed old tile all in about 90 minutes. Next day installed new tile and grouted Did an excellent job with no mess and cleaned up everything. New tile looks great! Fast, friendly, reasonable and quality work Would recommend to anyone!"

"Last night we hired Redo Cabinets to do a kitchen remodel. We chose them because of their excellent reviews and ratings from Google, Home Advisor and Better Business Bureau. We were very happy with the professionalism of their sales team and the thoroughness of their presentation. We look forward to the project starting in late July and we will post another review after they complete the installation. We are confident that it will go well because of the excellent follow up already received 12 hours later from Alex in their production department. Thanks to Brad, Thomas and to Chris for walking us through the front end of this process."

"Anix completed our full kitchen remodel, including new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, appliances, and updated command center and wet bar to match. They were quick, clean, polite, professional, proactive and extremely responsive. Joe was on site every day, which was really great considering a lot of lead contractors disappear when the contract is signed. He responded within hours to every email I sent, proactively discussed any issues that arose, and was a pleasure to work with. His team was also friendly and did an excellent job. When I noticed a small issue after the job was completed, Joe returned immediately to take care of it, so you can tell he really stands behind the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his customers matters greatly to him. I would definitely recommend Anix and use their services again in the future!"

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Buffalo Grove, IL

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
