"We did experience a bit of a problem reaching James. However, once we were able to arrange for a date and time for Ennis Plumbing to come to our home, the work was done quickly, professionally and for a fair price. We would not hesitate to hire James again for any additional plumbing work."

"We have been using Plumbing Tree for all of our plumbing, air conditioning, & heating service since we found him 2 years ago. Kieth may not be the cheapest guy in town, but you get what you pay for. He knows what he's doing and makes sure it's actually fixed right. This time, I had him out to talk about a barhroom remodel I want to do, but ask him if he could replace a valve in my kitchen faucet "to make the trip worth his time". They didn't just see the faucet was leaking on top where I saw it but took time to check underneath and found leaking valves that were damaging the cupboard underneath and even a little into the flooring below. No question, the faucet needed replacement and new valves. I love my new faucet!"

"Tipping hat has talented employees that do safe, clean, and complete work! I highly recommend them! We are no longer cold in our house thanks to Mark J, and service pros Jeremy D and David B. Mark J. the supervisor on our furnace installation project was the first person we met from Tipping Hat. He is kind, understanding and respectful. He took time to thoroughly examine our complicated and difficult heating situation and was able to explain what needed to be done and why. All of our questions were promptly answered, he was always available for a phone call and put extra effort into creating a plan and setting up a team to get started on our project right away. Mark was considerate of our feelings, always reassuring us and promptly addressing all of our concerns. Jeremy D. Tipping Hat's Service Pro, provided extraordinary service during the installation of our new furnace! He is punctual, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We were comfortable with him in our home, as he took great care installing our new thermostat and kindly showed us how to use it. Jeremy was very patient and took time to answer all of our questions. He went above and beyond to ensure that we received exactly what we needed AND he saw to it that the work was up to code and done properly! We are so appreciative of his compassionate understanding of our situation and his prompt completion of a large, heavy duty job that required hours of hard labor. Tipping Hat's Service Pro, David B. was able to complete work on the installation of our furnace in some really tight spaces. He had to deal with a tiny, dirt crawl space underneath the house and was able to re-attach ducts to the vents in our home. He was positive, pleasant and hard working. I feel confident referring others to Jeremy D, David B, and their Supervisor, Mark J."

"Excellent. Dave did an excellent job and recommended some other minor changes to the drain pipes under the sink, which he did at a very fair price. He was friendly, easy to work with, provided great suggestions and input. We highly recommend A Perfect Plumber and will use again!"

"I'd really recommend their work. The owner, Paul Turner, is excellent to work with. He is prompt and addressed an issue that I had been having for a while. He was the only one of 4 plumbers I brought in who found out the problem. It's close to a miracle the results I had with him."

"It has only been a few days but it seems to have gone very well. We had an EcoWater ESD2700 Water Softener installed. Water consultant, Seth, and master plumber, Shane, agreed to do the extra bit of plumbing work to allow un-softened cold water to go the the kitchen. The hot water and most of the rest of the house's cold water are softened now. The installation looks good (of course I'm no expert, but there were no obvious problems); Shane was on time and very professional. He took the time to explain some basics about the water softener and also, since I asked, why some of the plumbing was done in copper and some in PEX . Soon our water heater should have completely refilled with only softened water and we will begin to get the full benefits. Now we have only to wait for the county permit inspection; (it has only been a few days since the installation.)"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Buffalo-creek, CO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
