"Great! Jerry’s team did a complete tear off and roof replacement and provided a ten year parts and labor warranty per our quote requirements.(see our previous review from 2017). At that time we reserved our judgement awaiting the test of time. Since then we had a couple minor concerns. First some dripping from our new skylight over the winter of 2018/19. Owner Jerry was helpful, responsive and whenever we made contact. That dripping problem we learned was only condensation during the 24-30 below zero temps we suffered. Nothing was really wrong. More recently, we found some shingles had raised edges at the ridges after high winds and storms. In both cases R K came out and addressed the issues with complete friendly professionalism. That’s why we give them all As and heartily recommend them. We believe they were our best choice for a new roof or repairs."

"I had to wait a long time for them, though this wasn't entirely Albar's fault due to strong consumer demand before the end of the federal energy efficiency tax break. When they did arrive, I asked if I could have the work done on a Saturday. They did their best to accommodate me, but this seemed to force Will, the supervisor/salesperson, to book a crew that wasn't exactly the first team. The crew that arrived did the job, and was nice enough that the crew chief showed me a leak in my home around the door (though, of course, this could have been just a shrewd decision to avoid being blamed for the leakage). The problem was that they dropped one of the old sliders and smashed its glass into a million pea-sized or smaller pieces, then made no apparent effort to clean it up either inside or outside. Albar sent me a questionnaire about how satisfied I was. I noted both the good and bad of the above, but as far as I'm aware, they made no effort to ever contact me again through any medium. I ended up getting criticized by the management of my complex as if all the glass debris was my fault, and I ended up having to clean it up myself. The stuff was scattered everywhere in a 20-foot radius, and I'm still finding fragments of it 3 months later in locations where my tires could run it over, a barefoot pedestrian could step on it, or a gardener could gash their hands digging in soil that had dozens of shards in it. The product is a quality product. The installation was otherwise adequate, and the price was fair. Would I use them again? Alhough the Angieslist format forces me to check one of the boxes, I'm really not sure. Tough call."

"I highly recommend SPU. We used them for roofing. The owner is great to work with, he always answered my phone call when I called and showed up when he said he would show up. He came out to do a quote on Wednesday, materials were delivered that Friday and the roof was done by that Sunday afternoon. The crew was very respectable, they did a great job cleaning up after the job, there was not a piece of garbage or a nail to be found anywhere."
