"I met Al Guevara when my wife and I were dealing with a very stressful home ownership related event. A few days prior to Alâ s arrival, a tree had fallen on our roof and rolled onto the deck. There were five different puncture holes straight through and on into our attic. A temporary repair was made the next day. However, a long-term solution was required. I called our previous roofing contractor and was told he had shut down the operation until Spring, 2024. My wife researched and came up with a short list of the highest rated, well reviewed local roofing companies. MGS Construction was at the top of her list so I started there. Another call would not be necessary. Al visited us the day I made the call and by the end of his visit we signed his proposal/estimate. A complete roof replacement (GAF Timberline HDZ shingles, ice and water shield, caps, ridge vents, flashing, etc.) â along with a new 40â seamless gutter â was scheduled with work to begin in one week! And no deposit was required. It snowed the evening prior to the (large) crewâ s arrival and it had no impact on the project. The crew used leaf blowers to remove snow from the roof! I met the foreman, Josh, the morning that the work began. In addition to overseeing the many goings on with the well-oiled machine of a crew, Josh took the time and had the patience to answer questions I had during the course of the day. And believe me, there were more than a few! Clean-up was very thorough. MGS will be returning in the spring to repair the damage the tree did to our deck and to do work on the exterior of our home unrelated to the tree damage."

"We had a leak in our roof that for years I'd been trying to figure out from where it was coming. Water is tricky because where you're seeing it doesn't mean that's the source ("water finds a way"). Finally decided to call in an expert and Adam Vaillancourt Roofing was the first company that was listed in a Google search. The first thing I noticed was the company's consistently high customer satisfaction results (at least 4.5 stars). Customer service is very important to me when doing any work to our home, which is our biggest investment. I called and spoke with Cat Vaillancourt to set up an appointment. We met with sales rep Jose Luna, who conducted a thorough inspection and found the leak easily. His presentation about the company and how they do their work was impressive and Jose was very professional. The meeting included a video that Jose shot while on our roof in which he explained not just the issues that were found but WHY the work was needed. He patiently answered all our questions and never pressured us into agreeing to anything. It's our money, it's our decision, he said. After meeting with Jose, we didn't hesitate to sign a contract immediately to get the work done. One of the biggest factors in signing was that the folks who do the work are company employees, not contractors. Fast forward a few weeks later and Paul Camarro and his crew showed up at the house on time and ready to work. When they were done, Paul showed us photos of the completed repair work, so I knew they delivered as promised. Jose is in the process of making a follow-up appointment so that he can inspect the job and make sure that we are completely satisfied. From Cat Vaillancourt and Mary Kay Macfarlane in the office to Jose to Paul, every person we dealt with at Vaillancourt was fantastic and professional. Their emails often include the signature, "The Team at Vaillancourt Roofing" and it's obvious that they truly are a team. We will absolutely be calling Vaillancourt in a few years when our roof needs to be replaced. Highly recommend!"

"Due to this past storm I lost a couple shingles on my roof. Beantown was able to answer me quickly, and get a crew out the very next day to make the repairs before the next snow storm. This is the second time they have done work on my house, and both times I could not have had a better experience. I will certainly be using them for any further repairs I need at my house."

"On Top Roofing was great. Tim came to quote the work and asked what I wanted and offered excellent suggestions. He wanted to vent two bathroom fans out through the roof to reduce the moisture buildup in the attic. No other roofer even mentioned it. He also wanted to replace all drip edges and re-led the chimney. Several others wanted to reuse the exiting drip edges and led. Given all that his price was still very good. The job took two days. His crew was efficient and the roof looks great. There was a supervisor (Mike) on the job the entire time who ensured everything went well. They had one guy who did nothing but clean up constantly. So the yard and surrounding area was always clean. When they left they swept, rakes and picked up everything. Very professional and courteous team in the field and in the office (thanks Kelsey). All this and a 10 year workmanship warranty!!!"

"I have an interlocking shingle metal roof that needed a new vent pipe boot put on it by someone specially trained to work on this kind of roof. After other roofers had previously come by only to say they were not able to work on this kind of roof, Anthony and Aaron from Tar Star came by within an hour of my request for an estimate. They quoted me a fair price (better than other quotes I got) and best of all, they knew what they were doing and special ordered the right boot and put it on the very next morning. Both were very polite and professional and got it done quickly. 10/10 would recommend, and they will be my first call if I ever need something done involving my roof again. Thanks guys!"

"This is not the review I did 4 seconds after they finished the job - this is the review 16 months after the job. Years ago, we had our windows done. Mind you, their salespeople are extraordinarily assertive, personable and charming - and rightfully so, as they will spend hours and hours in your home making and finalizing the sale, as well as closing out your project. The problem is, they talk super proudly about their lifetime transferable warranty - which "covers absolutely everything! No matter what! You can take a razor blade to the screens just because you feel like it and they will be replaced, no questions asked!" This...is not true. The warranty is like all other warranties - subject to defects and defective installation only. No coverage for wear and tear, issues due to neglect/accidents, acts of god or anything related to weather or the elements. In fact, even if you paint over it or have work done by outside companies that affect the product in any way, the warranty could be voided. It was ABSOLUTELY sold to us as though NOTHING was out of bounds as far as repair/replacement was concerned. Shame on us for not going through all the warranty info with a fine-toothed comb, but the pep rallies by the salesmen we had ( one sold us windows, the other siding/gutters/trim) really get you excited. You love these guys and totally trust them for their enthusiasm and knowledge. You would not believe how much they push that their warranty covers EVERYTHING - FOREVER! So either these guys are trained to tell us something other than the truth and don't read the warranties themselves, or they lie for the sale and keep you in their pockets until the project is over, when you never hear from them again. Any issues we called about AFTER they physically left our property, were ignored or put off until forever - such as debris from work left for over a month on our front lawn, or nails that we were promised would be picked up thoroughly using a metal detector so our child wouldn't puncture his little feet (made them come back twice and they still did a pretty terrible job - are those nails even magnetic???), or the shutters they were supposed to change out for us. The quality of the materials is extremely high. The quality of the work done was high. The customer service, when all is going great, is awesome. Once you have a complaint though, they are nearly unreachable. They don't want to hear it. You can contact customer service, but they will just leave a message with the PM (if he didn't call me back when I called him, why would he when cust. serv. reps from Wherever, USA tell him to?). Nothing but the product quality separates them from anyone else, so weigh your options. Power is NOT cheap. Bottom line - OK company, great salespeople (personality- and effectiveness-wise) and products, poor customer complaint resolution, fair cleanup (looked great, but super unhappy about finding HUNDREDS of nails in our lawn), average lifetime warranty. I put that I would hire again because YES & NO are the only options. I chose YES because I know more now and I do think they sell superior products and there are loyalty discounts. If UNDECIDED were an option I'd have chosen it. As long as everything goes great, you'll be happy. If not, best of luck to you."

Work was completed in less than a full day. They cleaned up well. No mess left outside the house or on the porches (3 family house)."
