"Lindemann Chimney had sent Steve to our house to inspect and sweep the chimney. Steve started by visually inspecting the firebox and surrounding area. He then climbed up to the roof to inspect the exterior of the chimney. Finally, he inspected the interior of the flue. He stopped the inspection at this point to discuss the results with us. In short, the chimney is not safe for use for a few reasons. Steve clearly explained the issues he had discovered both interior and exterior. He did not perform the sweeping at this point since we all agreed that we would not use the fireplace until these issues were addressed/repaired. We continued to discuss other options. Overall, we had a great conversation and ended with a confident understanding of the issues and our options. I believe Steve went beyond our expectations for the following reasons: - Potential issues on our roof surrounding the chimney were pictured and discussed. Because of this we are going to have a roofer examine these issues. - The sweep was not performed, because the chimney is not safe to use. This reduced our cost to just an inspection. - While discussing alternative options, we became very excited about the idea of installing a wood stove insert. I highly recommend Lindemann for your fireplace and chimney needs."

"We took advantage of Quality Fireplace ‘s Spring chimney inspection special (and, ultimately for repair work done, Angie's List 5% off coupon) and were glad we did. Ray did the inspection and cleaning, found some significant cracks and crumbling and missing mortar in both the smoke chamber and the flue. Ray spent a lot of time with us, showing us not just the pictures that he took, but having us watch the screen as he maneuvered his 360 degree camera inside the chimney. He explained the repair options, without any pressure to do repairs at all, left us with information about the repairs and gave us a detailed estimate. We decided to go with the PCR, HeatShield joint repair and Parge smoke chamber repair options. Ryan and Johnny came to do the PCR– they were professional, personable, very efficient and careful to clean up. Ryan returned a couple of days later with Jeremy and spent most of a day doing the smoke chamber and flue repairs. We could not have been more pleased than we were with both of them. They were a pleasure to work with, clearly knew what they were doing and patiently answered all of our questions. Again, we were struck by their professionalism and efficiency and the way they took care to protect our floors and furniture as they did their work. Today, I'm posting a review for the HVAC services I received from Burkhardt on April 27th, 2023. Early in 2023, Burkhardt Heating & Cooling presented a new annual home HVAC-Maintenance package that could be paid for in 12-interest free monthly installments. This maintenance plan was not only significantly cheaper than than the former lump-sum plan, but it also included several types of additional discounts that were previously only available through occasional coupons. This new plan (which includes Spring & Fall Cooling & Heating checkups) is, in itself--in my opinion---a FIVE STAR+ benefit that Burkhardt offers!! I had my first 2023 checkup of my cooling system on April 27th by Burkhardt under this new plan. The technicians arrived punctually, were jovial & friendly, and spent nearly an hour making sure that not only my air conditioner was working properly, but that the entire A/C-supporting system was in good health! The techs were highly-skilled, knowledgeable, and professional, and went out of their way to ensure that everything was in working order. They found dust accumulating on the fan of the blower motor, and offered a device that I could purchase that would greatly reduce that dust accumulation--so as extend the life of my HVAC system 3-4 years beyond its 10-year projected life-span!! They did not try to hard sell me, or pressure me into making the purchase, but simply presented it as a suggestion. I asked them if there were any discounts that could be applied to the purchase. They found THREE DISCOUNTS (including a Veterans discount), which so significantly reduced the cost of purchase & installation, that I purchased it on the spot!
