"I just bought a 35yr old house that was well built and well maintained. Given the age however I wanted to be sure there were not hidden problems. So I had the chimney cleaned and inspected. There were minor age related issues with mortar in the flu, old caps, roof flashing, brickwork that need pointing, etc. Fireplace Pros performed the inspection then returned in a couple weeks and fixed all the problems in a day. Should be good for another 35 years. They were professional, prompt, and personable. I highly recommend them"

"I was pleased by the work. While here, he also replaced the spark screen at the top of the chimney. What really sold me was that after he finished, he told me that based on the amount of build-up in the chimney, I really didn't need to have it cleaned every year. When someone tells you that you don't need to use their service every year, you know they are looking out for your interests and not just their bottom line. <br />"

"Kicking Ash was right on time. A team of two quickly set up tarps to catch any dirt, dismantled the gas fireplace logs and cleaned them, inspected the gas valves and tested the flow of the gas. They also did an external inspection of the chimneys because I saw some discoloration on one of them. Looks like the original cap of the chimney is rusting and should be replaced. I have already hired them to fix the cap the spring when the weather is better."

"We had used Soots Me for chimney work many years ago and when we bought a new house this summer that required chimney work, my first thought was to contact Soots Me again.  It took a day or two to hear back from Steve but once we did, an appointment was set to see what needed to be done, an estimate was received soon after and we scheduled the work.  The work required was to take more than one day and we did have a weather delay put us back a couple of days.  Steve made sure the chimney was well covered during the delay to prevent rain from leaking into the house.  I asked Steve if we should expect the main chimney to need sweeping in a year and after asking about our burning habits (frequently), he explained that given the particulars of our chimney (we have a very large fireplace/flue) he didn't think we would need to do it.  He said to call him to come take a look and if it didn't need to be done, he'd tells us to call him in another year.  We will not hesitate to contact Soots Me again for any chimney work we need. <br />"

"Job went well. Both the roof on the garage and the roof on the house were replaced. They did a good job of cleaning up debris and nails and they even hauled away the bricks from the removal of the chimney on the garage. They replaced a couple of the beams in the garage that were in bad shape."

"They were recommended to me by a local person, Suburban Fireplace, because I had gotten tired of throwing my money out of the window on unsatisfactory work. They were absolutely wonderful. Robert knew exactly what he was looking for, and he explained to me how the fireplace works. He pointed out features I knew nothing about, and he made great suggestions. I felt completely enlightened after speaking with him. Felix, the owner, was in constant contact with me to schedule the power-washing when the weather cooperated. Once it was dried, they finished up with a waterproof sealant. Robert did both the power-washing and the sealing, and what I appreciated most about him was that he never pressured me into unnecessary repairs. I really liked his thoughtful overview and his helpful suggestions, and that he never pushed services that I did not need. He truly seemed concerned with helping me maintain my home and keeping it in good, working order. They were both fantastic, and I would not hesitate to use them in the future."

"During the cleaning and repainting of the wood insert black paint was painted where it should not be and gold paint was painted on stove front where it should not be. Minor but not professional none the less. <br /> Chimney sweep stated that chimneys clay flue tiles had cracks and needed a new flue liner. I got a quote from him. Later spoke with the owner and the chimney sweep receiving a slightly better deal on a new flue liner install. <br /> For the flue liner install the Installers arrived a little late due to traffic. Spent all day trying to install and having issues. They worked from the roof and I was/am concerned that there may be damage from the time and effort they put in to the install while on the roof. Finally they knocked out bricks on the exterior so they could get the flue insert around the smoke shelf and told me the flue was now in correctly.  <br /> When replacing the bricks, which were knocked out, there was too much masonry and not enough brick making the visual effect non aesthetic. I spoke with owner and he had the same individual come back and redo the job a week later. I was still not impressed but I accepted the work which was completed as I did not want any more damage to the masonry. They did put a nice cap on the chimney top. <br /> I recently tried to use the wood burner and believe there to be an issue with the install. Twice I  have started a fire within the stove and twice I have had a room full of smoke before the fire and smoke begin to exit the flue. (Yes, I opened the flue vent cover.)  I believe the flue is crimped and when warmer weather arrives will have them back to take a look at their work and be sure that I am getting the proper draft from the flue. Smoke before heat is indicative of an issue with the new flue insert installation. <br />"

"Rescue Roofing came out asap to assess the job, they got roofers and masonry specialists out asap to fix our problem. Not only was an excellent job done (no leaks yet!) but communications were great and the bill was not as high as I thought it would be! Very Very pleased with Rescue Roofing and recommend them to anyone needing roof or chimney repair."
