"Overall, it went ok. The morning that I was to have my work done I didn't hear much and I had to initiate the contact. When the contract was signed we had a date, but no real time. Just "morning". Once I had heard I had a time frame and it was pretty on point. When they showed up, they immediately started cleaning up my front yard and working on the dead tree. As they were handling that, Kyle(?) and I went to Star Nursery to pick out rocks and plants. He was pretty helpful about which plants would be ideal for my backyard and the amount of sun it gets, as well as covering my wants for the look I was going for. Answered all of my questions and gave me ideas. When we returned, everyone was on lunch after cleaning up the front. They asked a few questions and then begun prepping the backyard for the rocks. After everything was done, I was pretty happy at first, until I started to notice a few things that annoyed me... I had found 3 broken solar flood lights that I use to light up my trees/bushes. Completely snapped off and one was missing entirely until I found MOST of it in the front yard in the rocks. After that I was on an egg hunt trying to find the others. As of right now, I was able to re-use one, but I am out 2 $40 Solar Flood lights that were not compensated for in the final price. The workers "had no idea" and I was given a "the sun is really **** ** these" excuse for snapping these. As much as I would agree that plastic takes a beating from the sun, these were fairly new and very sturdy. This was more or less just carelessness on the workers part. After more digging, I found a waterline by the dead tree was completely snapped at the top. These lines were older, but they weren't broken or snapped before the work had happened. Again, was given the sun excuse. It takes force to snap something, the sun alone just doesn't do that. Again, no compensation for the broken water line head. Lastly, I noticed my backyard patio "cool deck" has a fairly large chip in it. Probably from a tool being dropped or something of that sort. The patio is pretty sturdy, but a heavy pointed object would do this. This isn't easy to repair and it looks awful and has the potential to spread and chip more. As I was finalizing the payment, there were still weeds and some trash in the front yard. Nothing outrageous, but if I am paying someone to clean up my front yard I would expect to not see any trash/weeds at all. The owner was cordial and nice, but wasn't present for the work (nor is he expected to be really I suppose). I would consider hiring this company again, but not at the price that I was given before with the work provided. The quality of the work was good, but the carefulness of the workers is just something I wasn't pleased with. Also a little annoying there was no urge to replace/compensate for the broken/damage things. Just kind of shrugged off for the most part."

"I called Desert Garden to get an estimate. He came by within an hour to check my request. He came back the next week to do that work. I was at work and came home to a wonderfully clean yard! I had no idea how lovely my mesquite trees could look!"

Things I particularly appreciated: Quality. The quality of the planning and execution was terrific. All the turf, the putting green, the rock placement, all of it was very well-done. The real achievement though has to be the paver path. There were some awkward spots where the new path met up with an existing curved patio and the crew did an amazing job cutting the pavers in a way that looks great and natural. And the arrangement of the various colors of pavement looks wonderful - there is definitely an art to it and the crew got it just right. Professional yet Friendly. I felt they got this balance just right. From being punctual for appointments to clarity and thoroughness in the estimate to cleaning up at the end of each day, every piece of the job was handled in a professional way. In addition, the crew would say hello and smile and willingly answer any questions - not for anything, but when you have strangers in your life for a couple of weeks it's nice when they look you in the face and smile! Customer Service. Jamel volunteered information and suggestions, but listened closely to what we wanted for our yard and delivered. The crew was also terrific, taking as much time with me as I needed to figure out exact placement of plants and talking through options for a slight change we requested mid-job. Customer service was also evident in the respect they showed my home - taking care of the property - drop cloths where needed to protect against rock, etc. and never leaving personal trash. This last may not matter to some folks, but that is a biggee for me. When I get work done it's a bummer and hard to feel good about spending the money when you find lunch wrappers and soda bottles under a shrub or something."

Plumbers opinion was 2-5 thousand $$ tomorrow. 3eDiscount sprinklers did it now for $700.00. I was very happy. I am a repeat customer for normal irrigation tune ups. This is the company you want.

"I’ve used them ever since. I’ve been using them for two years now. They come out every two weeks. Sometimes they are busy on Mondays. I don’t have a weekend schedule because sometimes their weekend is so full. Everybody wants to have their lawn done on Fridays. So, Mondays are fine. They are always prompt. They’ve never missed a mow. They’re polite. When I do see them, they would say “Hi.” They are really quick. He’s in and out here for like 15 minutes. I wouldn’t say I have an expensive yard."

The installation of (6) windows and (1) patio door didn't take long at all. The job was completed in a timely manner and professionally. I would definitely hire this company again!"
