"Chris, my tech, was very knowledgeable, respectful and professional. Unfortunately it took a little longer for him to procure the part......but he (Aire Serv) diligently, relentlessly tracked down the needed motor, and then Chris installed it as expeditiously as possible."

"Response time was very quick, which I greatly appreciated because my water heater flooded the platform it stood on and caused a great amount of damage to the surrounding walls as well overnight. Removal and installation went very well. Jose was very professional and informative. I absolutely recommend and will continue to use this company."

"The work took much longer than expected because of a defective part. But, Larry did not charge any more for the job than quoted. He also re-plumbed an a/c drain at no extra charge. I think you will get a fair job from Plumbing Pros."

"When JJ arrived he looked under the sink and at my new part then proceeded to fix the disposal he was done in 30 min and the fix works just fine no problems.
Approx two months ago I had JJ install security lights on my house that turn off and on with a sensor, their seemed to be a problem with the sensor on one of the lights.  He came back several times till I was satisfied at no extra charge.  He always makes sure the work he does is what the customer wants and that it works like the customer expects, even when the customer makes changes to what he agreed upon.  Would use him again without a doubt>

"Amazing Fast service. Got on Angies List Friday morning, they called me within 5 minutes of requesting a quote. I described the scope of work. I was provided a rough estimate. Of course you can't tell how deep the line is going to be or where the leak was. They arrived on time saturday morning, wrote up an official proposal on the spot. I approved and work was done in 3 hours. And this for my rental, my tenant met with them I did everything via phone or internet. Definitely would recommend, very professional!"

"Contacted Bruce Marshall (owner) and informed him of leak and damage to linen closet and surrounding areas. He came over the same day to inspect and provide a work estimate. His crew arrived the next day to "dry out" all infected areas as well as remove all water damaged dry wall as well as attic insulation that had been ruined because of water. All work took about a week and was professionally done and looked as good as the original. We were pleased with the work. Would recommend !!"

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Cal-Nev-Ari, NV

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
