"Jamie and his crew installed large scale (24"x48") porcelain tile in two bathrooms (walls and floors) and on a large dining / kitchen / hall floor. The results are absolutely perfect. Our floors were far from level, so the install was not easy and required a large amount of leveling cement. Everyone showed up every day at 7 AM, at times we had two crews working to get our project finished on time. You can see that they did not cut any corners and did whatever it took to do things right. "Barely a month ago we first contacted System Pavers to consider having them replace our driveway. Today, I signed off on completion of the project, which was extremely smooth from start to finish. When James Jordan, our design consultant first met with us via video conference, he already had Google images of our property, and was therefore well prepared to discuss what we wanted to do. Based on that meeting, he prepared a first draft plan for what we wanted, which he brought to our home only about 3 days later, along with material samples. At the end of that marathon meeting, we had a game plan for a 2- or 3-phase project: first replacing our driveway and then -- if we were satisfied with phase 1, moving on to the back patio and yard. Two weeks later, construction started, with Jimmy Jackson as our Project Manager and Temo as his crew chief, and now -- less than a week later, everything is completed and beautiful. During the course of construction, we encountered a couple of minor glitches -- nothing major -- and each time, Jimmy's attitude (and that of everyone working with him) was, "no problem -- we can fix that." Meanwhile, our neighbors have been working (with a different company!) on a similar project for the past 4+ months. Needless to say, they are in awe of how quickly our transformation was completed!"

Flooring Contractor Carpet installation

"Don’t use Triple A Air Conditioning & Construction! Also AAA Construction same company Zee Armand (AKA Zahid Hussain) of Triple A Air Conditioning & Construction took our deposit didn’t do the work and left the siding off our house! We found Zee Armand (AKA Zahid Hussain) on Porch.com and asked him to give us an estimate on removing some dry rot, replacing a shower in our guest bathroom and installing some sheet vinyl in both the guest and master bathrooms. The estimate for the shower seemed reasonable, but for the flooring he was charging over $20 per square foot and we had already purchased the flooring ourselves. From Home Advisor: Installing sheet vinyl costs around $3/sf. Installing luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) or planks (LVP) costs considerably more, hovering at $7 per sq. ft.. Zee was the third contractor we had out to look at the bathroom and so by that point we were stressed and frustrated and after negotiating the flooring price down, we still decided to use his services and paid him a 10% deposit of $500. He was then supposed to come over the next day with his helper to look at the job and determine the tools they would need. He cancelled due to rain and said he would start on Monday instead. He arrived on Monday with his helper, took off a couple pieces of the siding of our house to expose the dry rot and told us that he was going to Home Depot to get supplies and update the estimate. He said he would be back in the afternoon and around 2:00 he still wasn’t back yet, so we contacted him to find out what was going on. At that point he proceeded to tell us that because of the little bit of mold that was there, that if a mold remediation team came out to remove it would cost us over $5000, but that he could do it for $1550. At that point we cancelled the job and demanded that he return our deposit. Long story short, he never gave us our $500 deposit back. Upon further investigation it was found that he has had numerous small claims judgments against him. He is also operating without a Home Improvement certification and isn’t certified to remove mold!"

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Camarillo, CA

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
