Customers say: Quick response

"Paul Davis Restoration of Delmarva built my composite deck on a challenging work site. The new deck has custom steps, ramp, and benches. The deck skirting is unique and gorgeous. We are extremely pleased with the design and workmanship and have received many compliments from friends and neighbors. I want to thank Brian Rush, Josh, Brittney, and Christina. I especially want to thank Brian Pittman and his crew, Collin and Shawn. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone at Paul Davis."

"<p>The work is just perfect.  Whether you look at the shingled roof or the inside ceiling, you cannot see that work was ever done.  We don't know how Rick found shingles that are almost identical to what we have there! The ceiling that has the large drywall patches is absolutely smooth.  It literally looks like it was always this way. At one point, Rick offered to just take care of a couple of nail pops and places on our walls where there were a couple of small patches from the water damage.  This was going above and beyond and we appreciated it.</p> <p> In addition, they used sheet of plastic to completely close off the room in which they were working so that our house was dust-free when they were finished.  Rick and I had a miscommunication about the start-time of the first day (hence the B rating for punctuality), but he quickly took all steps necessary to iron that out, and we really appreciate his professionalism.  We will use Rick and Home Services unlimited again for our next project, without question.</p>"

"Thanks gang!!! Having a husband with a Trumatic brain injury that thinks he can still do everything causes problems that makes a small project into something bigger sometimes. We decided to use Anthony since he’s a locally owned small business. He was quick to respond, very well priced, and very efficient. My favorite part, is that he was patient and actually worked with my husband and showing him how to tackle the project. Such a blessing to have someone with that much patience to show somebody with a Trumatic brain injury how to problem solve and complete the project. Keep Anthony’s number! He’s one of the good guys."

"JGM just refinished our twelve year old kitchen cabinets (35 doors and 13 drawers) – they look NEW! They removed the doors, drawer fronts and shelves and refinished them, front and back, in their shop. They enclosed the kitchen in plastic sheeting and meticulously filled in little cracks and dings in the cabinet frames before applying multiple primer coats. They took care to sand between each coat and applied two finishing layers of lacquer. The results are amazing! The fellows who did the work are true professionals who take obvious pride in their work. I could not be more pleased with their work."

"I called Adam White of Rourk Remodeling to look at my deck for a "facelift."   I appreciated his friendly, low-pressure manner and knew immediately his was the company to do the job.  He did a thorough evaluation of the 22-year-old deck, and after finding it structurally sound, recommended a power-wash and re-staining.  He offered he would either use a stain of my choice, but highly recommended Sherwin Williams for its durability and guarantee. (I agreed with his judgment.)  I also wanted my deck fenced in so my dogs could no longer jump through the spindles. We decided upon a green plastic mesh that matched the spindles.  <br /> Mr. White accomplished all the above in a time and professional manner.   My dogs did a lot of "supervising" and he was very good-natured with them (even if they got in the way.)   My deck looks brand new and my pets have a larger outside area to enjoy.  I would totally recommend him for decks and plan to use him for some interior improvements soon!"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Camden-wyoming, DE

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
