They did very good job of prepping the area and they are very quick and laying with concrete and came back many times to check on it on what need to do on maintain the driveway. "I contracted Maxxima Concrete for a substantial residential driveway project involving over 40 yards of concrete. While the final product is functional, the overall experience left much to be desired and raises serious concerns about workmanship and accountability. From the outset, I had to intervene multiple times to ensure basic standards were met. For example, the team initially resisted digging deep enough to accommodate a proper 4-inch gravel base—something fundamental to long-term durability. I also had to correct their handling of the mesh wire reinforcement, which was laid but not properly elevated during the pour, compromising its effectiveness. The finished driveway includes visible engraved marks along each control joint—an aesthetic flaw that was acknowledged but not resolved. Instead of addressing the issue, Maxxima offered a discount, which felt more like a way to avoid remediation than a gesture of goodwill. They did extend the warranty from one year to two, which I appreciated at the time. Unfortunately, they have not honored it. I’ve reached out via text and email consistently over the past six weeks regarding discoloration and two areas showing early signs of cracking—just three months post-installation. Despite multiple attempts, I’ve received no response, no site visit, and no effort to engage in a conversation. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I will be posting this review across all known LLC and address variations (of which there are a few) of Maxxima Concrete on Yelp, Google, and the BBB. If the situation remains unresolved, I will pursue further action through small claims court. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions. A fair price and initial effort do not compensate for poor follow-through and disregard for customer concerns."

"Jesse Moore and his team are frankly amazing. I wish they did more than build patios and related work as I would hire them for everything. Quality people do quality work and are willing to adjust to meet the needs of the homeowner. This is the 3rd time I have personally used Moore Brothers for a patio. Each experience is better than the prior. We always seem to run into something unexpected. That is part of the process with large projects like a patio. What I always appreciate is their "we are here to make the customer happy" approach. This project was no different, and they made me more than happy. They communicate, they show up when they say, and they deliver a quality product with smiles on their faces. Finally, I trust that team at my home - even when I cannot be present. That is a testament to Jesse's hiring and the quality people with whom he surrounds himself. THANKS for another great experience."

"Overall, I am not satisfied with Hastings and Sons Concrete and recommend using caution before signing any contract with this company. They agreed to perform the job as I requested, however throughout the process they changed how they performed the job. Examples: They still have not provide the diagram with measurement (depth, width, length, and location) for the four pillars they installed after several requests. Without this diagram, I do not know if the pillars are to code. They said they would use expansion joints and used none. Said they would use saw cuts and changed to control joints. Said the patio would be even with door ways, but during installation they said based on code they could not do what the sales rep agreed to. I had to identify that they did not use rebar in one section of the patio, then they added rebar after it was brought to their attention. I also identified that the gravel base was not hard compacted as the mobile dump machine was sinking into the gravel and got suck several times, however Mr. Hastings continued pouring the concrete anyway. I do not believe I saw the whole contract on the computer tablet; after signing, they printed me a copy so I could read the whole contract and I would not have sign or used this contractor if I had been able to read all the terms and conditions beforehand. Their brochure states a 99.9% customer satisfaction rate, after researching this company this does not appear true. The only positive thing is that they were quick to complete the job the next day, minus providing the agreed upon diagrams."

"I posted this review and received a derogatory response from the company. I am reposting it with the information to validate that I was a customer of this company in October of 2014. I also provided photos in my original post of the things that I mentioned in the review. Flavio Pinheiro would never show up when he promised. The job kept getting delayed. All throughout this experience, he kept taking jobs out of state, and also claiming illnesses, to the detriment of my job. I travel for work, and can't be on top of these projects 24/7. They never finished the job, they did the mow strip incorrectly, and they left trash, chunks of concrete, and lawn damage behind. I finally had to have someone else come and finish it, costing me an additional $1500. They used some of my landscape trim to form the borders for the concrete pour, instead of creating themfrom their own supplies, promising that it would be easy to clean up. It wasn't, and the trim was no longer usable. He hired a Customer Service person, but that panned out to be worthless. I would not recommend this con artist to do anything in my yard ever again. As to the comment left from the company on my original review, I did indeed have a contract with Maxima Concrete, when Flavio Pinheiro was the owner. It may have changed hands since then, but the truth still stands for what I had to go through in October of 2014. I have attached a copy of the contract I had (with personal information blocked out) to prove it. The date of service for this contract was not accurate as posted, but this site does not allow for changes to that field. The site takes the date of the review as the date of the work done."
