"Nick did a fabulous job on our basement remodel. His craftmanship and creative problem solving really helped transform a challenging space in our 100+ year home. While there are many good contractors and carpenters out there, what sets Nick apart is his excellent communication skills and willingness to incorporate our ideas into the project in a way that combined our vision for the project and Nick's technical expertise to create a beautiful update to our home. Nick did a great job keeping us in the loop as the project was going and always was clear about any issues he encountered and potential ways to address them. We added a good number of additional components to the job and he was able to effectively address all aspects of the project (plumbing, electric, HVAC, dry wall, insulation, etc.) really well and keep things moving along with minimal disruptions. He is very detailed in his final trim and door work and definitely knows how to make things look very good! He did a great job with clean up too and was very helpful with material sourcing to achieve our desired look and style. With a combined experience of over 50 years in the business, we provide solutions for customers on home remodeling projects. At Revive Remodeling, we are your one-stop remodeling company. When it comes to improving your home, who you do business with is just as important as what you have done. Our team works year-round, having done thousands of installations in Central Ohio, always putting our customers first.
"Revive failed to provide the services as agreed and violated several Ohio construction laws. 1) Revive demanded a $5,400 deposit, which is twice the $2,700, 10% maximum required by Ohio law; 2) After jackhammering my basement floor and filling it with trash, debris and water, Revive demanded I pay them $5,450 in estimated permits, tests and materials for Nick of McDaniel Plumbing which is not part of our contract. Given how Revive had torn up my basement, I felt forced to pay the $5,450 for Revive to repair my basement and complete the project. Immediately after I paid it, Revive said McDaniel was not going to do the plumbing. I asked for a refund, and Revive refused to pay it. Then Revive said they had decided to walk off the project if I did not pay him similar estimates for their HVAC and Electrical subcontractors. I said that was not in our contract and that I would not pay it. He also said he was not going to honor the $750 plumbing allowance or meet me at Menards or Home Depot to select the other plumbing materials listed in our contract. Due to Revive's fraudulent bait and switch extortion scheme, and its failure to perform the services as promised, I terminated the contract and demanded a refund of my $12,865.80. Revive refused to refund my money. Revive's foreman asked for his tools. I asked for his address so that I could have the tools delivered to the foreman. Neither Revive nor the foreman would provide the delivery address. Instead, Revive said he was going to charge me an additional $2,000 that I did not owe for his foreman's tools. Since terminating Revive for cause, I have found several other violations of Ohio construction law and Ohio consumer protection laws that Revive violated."
