"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

Small jobs welcome

Hi, I'm Garrett, a master mechanic by trade with years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment and automotive repair. I previously owned and operated a successful business in Denver, specializing in fixing forklifts, car washes, car lifts, cars, trucks, and more. After relocating and recently remodeling my own home—where I handled 95% of the work myself—I discovered a real passion for home improvement projects.\n\nNow, I'm excited to bring that same dedication and skill to the community as a reliable handyman. Whether it's general repairs, installations, maintenance, minor remodeling, or tackling those 'fix-it' tasks around the house, I'm here to help. I'm detail-oriented, and always willing to go the extra mile. Let's get your home projects done right—contact me today!"\n\n

"Service technician arrived on time, diagnosed and took care of the problem in less than half an hour. He explained the warranty on service and was very courteous. Price was most reasonable."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"It required 2 visits, as there were a couple of minor problems after the initial repairs. In both visits, the technicians were available ahead of schedule & I was able to coordinate an earlier arrival. Also, in both visits, the repairs were done neatly and all questions were addressed thoroughly. Compared to 2 other plumbing services I've used in the past, this is the best I've encountered by far."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"I found them on Angie's List, verified they were a Dyson repair shop and took my several year old Dyson to them.  They showed me what was wrong with it, what it would take to repair, and that the repair costs were more than a new (refurbished) Dyson.  I thought this was interesting, because they absolutely just could have done the work I wanted and sent me on my way.  They suggested I probably should consider the new purchase.  We then got to talking about why I love my Dyson so much and the young man I was dealing with, Mike, ended up giving me an entire class in how vacuums work:  suction vs inflow, uprights vs canisters. We talked about motors, weight, convenience - almost every aspect of vacuuming you could think of.  We talked about their various models, pros and cons of each, and he sent me away to do my research on line.  While I was in the store, I was leaning towards this Rikkar brand - made in America.  My online research verified it was probably the perfect choice for my vacuuming needs and I went back today and purchased it.  In general, I think of vacuum salesmen as being almost as sleazy as used car salesmen.  This was not the case with this group.  They respect their clients, work to provide you exactly the best vacuum cleaner for your needs/desires, and never put any pressure on you.  Trust me, I will be purchasing my next vacuum (should I ever need another one) from them!  PERFECT EXPERIENCE! <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Canon City, CO

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
