"I researched roof repairers on home advisor on a Tuesday morning as my roof was leaking during a heavy rainfall. Later that morning William from Ark Exteriors called me and arranged to visit the next day at 8am to inspect my roof. He arrived on time to perform the inspection and after inspecting the roof he provided me with a quotation to complete the repairs and was able to schedule the work for 9.30am the next day. He and his team arrived on time on the Thursday morning and completed the repairs in about 4 hours. After the work was completed I went up into the loft area to visually inspect the work and I could see where the previously affected areas (water damaged/warped boards) had been very neatly replaced. The very next day we had more severe thunder storms with even heavier rain so I went up into the loft area again to check for leaks and there were no signs of water penetrating through the roof. William and Ark Exteriors were able to successfully complete my roof repairs within 48 hours of my initial inquiry at a price I thought was reasonable for the work being done. In addition to doing a good job on the roof they were punctual and performed the work quietly and efficiently. "We had been having leaking in our ceiling near our chimney for almost a year, despite having had our roof and gutters and having our chimney flashing redone last year. After a number of frustrating follow-ups with our original roofer and chimney repair company, we called S&K, which came highly recommended on our community page. Sean came out within two weeks despite a very busy rainy season. He checked our roof and told us quite honestly that the problem was not the roof or even the flashing, which had been done well but the porousness of our older bricks. He applied some silicone sealant right then and told us to call him again if it didn't work after the heavy rains this weekend; he also mentioned we should just keep periodically reapplying this sealant ourselves. This leak has stressed us out for months and Sean was extremely honest and helpful. He didn't try to sell us any expensive repairs but was upfront about the problem. "Agreed upon services were competitively priced and completed in a timely fashion. However, the Blue Ribbon Exteriors installation team should be very careful with existing home features that they come into contact with. Many of the original flashing, gutters, and trim features of the home were damaged when the project was completed. Also, scaffolding that was installed at the rear of the home was not properly stabilized and supported which collapsed (in wind) and damaged an existing composite deck. Although, the roof looked good when it was done and there has not been any leaking issues or shingle loss in the past year. The "Would you hire again" question should have a "Maybe" option which I surely would select after this experience."
