That’s what happens when you actual experienced workers take the lead instead of salespeople. It took a while to figure out exactly what the best approach would be, but in the end I got a job done for like $650 when the others wanted like $3000. I bought a custom fit chimney cap myself for like $200 I think and then had emerald city retrofit and install it for $450."

"Pete and crew installed a new roof on our home in Auburn in 2008. It's now January 2020. Recently, I found a slow leak around the skylight they installed in my garage. After emailing Pete he was out the next business day to patch the leak. While here he noticed that the ridge vent that they installed in 2008 was an older style that could possibly let in rain if it was blowing real hard. His crew was out the next day and they replaced the entire ridge vent over 4 hours with snow on my roof. The leak repair, attic inspection and ridge vent replacement was all done at no cost to me even though the 10 year warranty expired over a year ago. Now that's what I call customer service! He showed me pictures of the chimney problem areas and explained how the moisture got into the chimney. He told me I didn't need a sweep. To eliminate the moisture problem he suggested I get some needed repairs, have chimney caps installed, and have water repellent applied. After receiving an estimate for the needed work I had the job scheduled."

"I contacted North Creek after couple of free estimates Guys scared me pretty hard. They said I would need a new roof as soon as possible. I bought this property 6 months ago and I knew that I would need it in like 4-5 years but not now. Evan from North Creek showed up. He went up the roof and came down and said nope you don't need it right away. He checked attic and said it's not terrible here either. In the end, he said you would probably need to replace it in 4-5 years unless you get a leak which he doubted. What an incredible advice!! Such a relief it was. These guys are awesome. He did send me an estimate, and they are not expensive either. I will use them when I am going to replace my roof. Honest people, there was no push for sales, just pure right advice."

"We were told we needed to have some bricks on our chimney replaced from a couple other masonry folks. I called Chris to get a quote for the work. When he arrived he explained why that would be a waste of money because the design of the chimney was the problem. Instead Chris suggested we do a few things to extend the life of our chimney for another 5-10 years (with detailed instructions so we could do the work) and replace the full chimney after that with a design that fits or Northwest climate. We will definitely be calling Chris for any work in the future!"

They worked outdoors when the weather let up but had to leave the chimney covered with a tarp most of that time. They didn't need to access the interior of the house until the chimney was crowned, capped, sealed, washed, and tuckpointed. I only needed to be home during the sweeping operation, which involved removal of two whole industrial wet/dry vac-loads of old soot, moss, and ash. Throughout the entire operation, Mad Hatter's staff were punctual, helpful, courteous, and flexible."
