"We had our asphalt driveway removed and replaced. The original work looked good - it was completed when we were not at home - bad timing on our part. After one year, we reported some cracking, sent pictures as requested and was told it was normal settling. Year 2, cracks were more pronounced, we sent pictures as requested, and were told someone would come our to look at it. We were ghosted several times, didn't receive return phone calls - it was very frustrating. Couldn't get past customer service to speak to anyone. No owner, no manager, no project manager. Long story short, they refused to "do business with us anymore" and wouldn't stand by their work. Pictures attached of year 3 - don't work with this company."

The price was reasonable and affordable, it’s better than other deals I’ve seen. Their service goes beyond five-stars. If there was a higher option, I would give it ten-stars! J&S did a great job of understanding what we wanted and gave us a fair quote. The demo crew did a great job ripping the old one out, backfilling with new gravel base, and compacting with no damage to existing lawn or concrete. The asphalt crew did a great job laying the asphalt, hand tamping edges, and compacting. Both crews were super friendly, explained everything they were doing, and cleaned up nicely. Driveway looks great, and we are very happy we hired J&S."

Asphalt paving repairs or patches FAQs
With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.
You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.
Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
