"I hired Alex to cut to size and reinstall the original carpet in my son's room after I installed a built-in storage bed resting on the subfloor. Alex was very receptive to my concerns about damage to the face frame on the bed from the installation tools and assured me this would not be a problem. Alex and his workman installed new tack strips, cut the carpet, stretched and reinstalled everything (including staples), and deodorized the room over a two hour period for a very reasonable price. They clearly took their time on the installation since there wasn't a scratch on the frame and the carpet reinstallation came out perfectly. They even took the time to cut the excess carpet carefully so that I now have a few extra strips in case they are needed for a future repair. These guys are real pros. I'm looking forward to having Alex's company back to steam clean our carpets and will definitely give them a call for any of the other services they provide should I have a future need."

"TLDR: Keep to small jobs. I was looking to remodel bathroom for labor only, & HC came in as the lowest bidder. I had already bought fixtures & would buy tile. HC gave me a list of what else to buy. The first worker was messily doing questionable quality work & taking longer than estimated to do it. It took another worker refusing to put their name on it for HC to take my concerns about quality seriously. Got a new person in who demoed everything to start over. I truly appreciate the effort of this redo (hence 2-star), & it was going much better, if with some cosmetic concerns later on. Then got hit with a change order- for an understandable found issue, but also for tile style (I was told wouldn't change cost). I also had to buy more than was HC's initial list, & had descoped to help offset cost. I'm left with an over-budget bathroom that is functional with rushed cosmetic issues, 3 weeks late with my house a mess, & a list of To-Dos to finish/fix the scope they didn't get to."
