"Excellent customer service & a company you can trust! Paul provided a detailed description on what the project entails & who the team lead would be. John gave a good advice on the choice of paint colors. Hesus & Jose did a great job painting the house during the hot days in July. I am very happy overall & will definitely recommend."

"Toni, the owner was very easy to get a hold of and communicated beautifully. Before they started if I had a question, I would text him and he would respond typically within five or 10 minutes. The crew of three professional painters arrived on time did a fabulous job at preparing. Covered all the furniture, draperies, rugs, etc. and painted our ceilings . In the past three years, we had our entire exterior painted and separately our interior walls by two other companies. I wish I had found tony earlier!"

"The Joses—Junior and Senior—along with the on-site manager, Elvis, took great care of us in painting our nearly 100 year old duplex home. They finished ahead of schedule and did a fantastic job following our more-complicated-than-usual historic painting plan. Our building looks so good that I have been asked by multiple neighbors who did the amazing paint job. I have referred all of them to Jose!"

"He was a lifesaver, I couldn't have done this without him. He was polite and did things beyond just painting, like if I had a problem with a plant needing to be trimmed to get to the wall he would do that. He hauled another tree away and replaced a side door as well."

"Winfield Painting is amazing! My husband and I purchased an older place, and our kitchen cabinets were old! They were the original cabinets from the early 80's ... and the wear and tear they experienced showed. We did not want to pay the full price of replacing all the cabinets, so we contacted Glen to get an estimate. Glen is amazing! He came out and looked over the kitchen and provided us with his professional opinion of what would be the best way to modernize the cabinets. After we decided on painting them, he provided us with an estimate and left paint samples for us to look over. We are THRILLED with the quality of his work! Glen worked around our schedule, met with us when we were available, and within a week from the first meeting, completed the cabinets. The quality of his work is amazing, and you can not beat his price!!!! I am so happy that we called Winfield Painting. I highly recommend Glen and plan on using him again when it is time to update cabinets throughout our place. Great work! Great price! Highly, highly recommended!"

"Smooth as can be. Ramon and team arrived early AM, as scheduled, and went right to work. Project involved concrete prep, several coats of stain and then sealer. It all happened over 2 days and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I am considering doing my back patio, and will definitely use Ramon Reyes Painting again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Cathedral City, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
