"At our request, Mr. Bergen preformed inspections of both chimneys on our 100+ year-old home. Inspection disclosed both were in need of demolition and rebuilding from below the roofline. We contracted the job to Mr. Bergen's company (Professional Chimney Services). The work as done in a most professional manner...Scaffolding was assembled and the chimneys were demolished and rebuilt from below the roofline to their previous height including new brick, mortar, liners and top caps. Mr. Bergen selected a brick which closely matched the original color preserving the appearance of the chimneys. Both chimneys were re-flashed and waterproofed and animal caps were installed. All construction equipment was removed and the area was thoroughly cleaned of all construction debris."

"Tom and his crew  (zack and E Jay) arrived in time , had all the supplies. ready and started  the job. <br>Once they were up there realized that there was extra work to be done replacing all the wood at top since it was rotten under the existing chase top. They replaced ,took pictures of the whole process as a prove and put the new stainless steal chase top based on what I wanted , the respected my opinion and answered my questions. <br>The chimney sweep was good the guys inside the house were careful and didn't leave any traces after they finish, great clean up and gave me tips on the upkeep since is a different system that the average chimney. <br>I am very happy with their service."

"Very impressed with responsiveness, professionalism, technology, and value provided by Gunner Roofing. The copper flashing was pulling away from around my chimney and looked like it was in need of repair or replacement. I had previously worked with another well reviewed roofing company on Angie's List that missed my scheduled appointment to examine my chimney flashing. So I was very pleased when Andrew from Gunner showed up exactly when promised, and I was quite fascinated with his use of a drone to take precise aerial photographs of the work to be performed from all angles - a rather tech savvy approach. Gunner provided a detailed estimate within hours, that was only 1/3 the cost of the estimate I ultimately received from that other roofer. Gunner Roofing completed the work on time, and did a very satisfactory job. This was a relatively modest project, but based on my experience, I hope to use Gunner Roofing when it comes time to redo my entire roof."

"Installation was well done and the installers were knowledgeable about the product. I did not care for the hearth options they had so I had a hearth stone custom cut and I installed it. Also, the quote for the chimney repairs that were needed was almost twice what was quoted by to other highly rated masons. Based on this I subcontracted the masonry work to another company."

"It went well. We had to contact them to get scheduled even though the advertisement through Angie's list said they would get back to us by Thursday after we purchased the service. Then Angie's list contacted them. They got back to us by Friday. <br /> We were hoping the person would show up closer to 8 am since we needed to leave at 9:30. We had asked this 2 times to the person making the appointment and she made it sound as though the person would be there at 8am, but he did not get to us until a little before 9 am. We managed to get the entire appointment in, but we were rushed and ran late. We may use them in the future. We are still reviewing for other prices. They want $2,000+ to replace 14 layers of brick on our chimney. <br /> We ended up using them for the chimney repair. Frank came out and did the repair. The chimney work is beautiful. He repaired the bricks and replaced the inside flu at the top. He is very knowledgeable and very good at what he does. I would recommend working with Frank for sure.  We are thinking of looking at an insert and working with Frank. <br /> <br />"

"The job was a big one and the guys had to come quite a long distance (about sixty miles) to do it, but it was done in a timely way. Over several weeks they came every day that weather permitted until every detail of every task was finished. Don, the boss, and Andrew, the foreman, are both perfectionists. Don knew every detail of our job, explained everything about it to us, explained and resolved any problems encountered, stayed in touch either by phoning or showing up often, and when necessary pitched in in a major way. Andrew was hands-on start to finish every day and was both responsive to every question and concern we had and even often anticipated them. We were especially pleased that they took great trouble to firm up structural problems they encountered with the front porch and with the roof and the chimney and fixed them so that what had been ramshackle in the construction is now solid and built to last. Not to mention that we love the way the house now looks. All this was done while coming in very close to the original price estimate. In short, I found Don Frame and his crew (DF Construction) to be exceptionally knowledgeable, hard-working, and honest contractors, would use them again any time, and enthusiastically recommend them. <br />"
