"Gauge is a Representative who puts his Clients first. He reminds me, of a younger me. (This says a lot, because I was always a top notch Sales Rep and I retired early, as a result of my personal efforts and how I always did, as I said, and placed my Clients as top priority). I have yet to begin my project, but he won over my business and I?m excited to see the results. I?m confident they will exceed my expectations."

"I needed a shutoff valve replaced on a gas line. The quote given was very reasonable. The young men were courteous and respectful. There were no hidden fees when the job was completed. And the completed job was neat and clean. "

"It went very well! I had to re do all my plumbing lines to my home due to them being old and roots intruding the plumbing. The technicians were so informing and answered all my questions! They even showed me different options I had as well as introduced me to the financing program they have! I definitely would recommend them to all my family and friends!"

"I was very impressed with Nathan White. He took the time to call the manufacturer and stayed on the line for a while to find out out coverage. He was friendly, thorough and kind. I would continue to use Penguin just because he was the service tech. Good job!"

"We had some major under the foundation concrete slab corrosion of piping in our home. EZ flow did a thorough inspection and found the issues. We had some heavy work to do in order to fix: remove shower, tub, punch a hole in the concrete, and dig a hole under the house to expose the plumbing. The EZ Flow Team of Robert, Spencer P and Manny did FANTASTIC WORK! They also left the home in good / clean condition after a 12hr day of hard labor. We appreciate their efforts and attention to detail. Thank you EZ Flow!!"

Customers say: Quick response

"These guys are awesome! Fast service and great price. They did a great job and saved me tons of money compared to other bids on a slab leak repair. Very creative approach to prevent having to rip up my travertine and concrete. Made is super easy for me to repair small dry wall patch after and that was all. Like the leak never happened. James and team are my go-to guys for all my plumbing needs going forward"

"November 2023 we hired GB for total plumbing/electrical in my mobile home. We spent $25,000. Big mistake do not use GB. Rude technicians/overpriced. We paid for lifetime of yearly free inspections for electrical and plumbing. Today the supervisor terminated us. I did not receive a possible explanation as to why. Except possibly I was told I asked too many questions that they could not answer. Very disrespectful individuals? shop elsewhere?"

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Cave Creek, AZ

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
