"Exterior home repaint 06/2024. Felipe has terrible communication practices. Shows up by surprise with no prior notice and expects all to be available to be worked. Totally refused to coordinate with the other interdependent trades at work on the same overall home restoration job. Quoted a total exterior home paint price that sounded reasonable if done per Sherwin Williams app. specs and 2-coat system process, then refused to do so claiming that his quote included only 1-coat (totally ridiculous). The end result has been several areas of show-through of old paint, chalk lines, and grayish stucco pigment. Felipe is either total hack that does not know his trade, a deceptive crook, or both. He almost always skips putting down drop clothes & spills paint everywhere. Left permanent paint stains in several drive and walkway surfaces that had weâ d recently at great cost had overlayed with Roman stone pattern that are now ruined in places. Claims his work is guaranteed for 1-year. Yet, has continued to dodge all phone calls and texts to come correct several punch list items. The one time he did after over 1-month of several repeated phone calls and texts finally come back in mid-July to repaint one area that was poorly covered, he asked for more money to do so! At total Sheister, so be sure to avoid Tovar for any plaster, stucco, or painting job. I will be writing up another review regarding the issues and poor quality/workmanship associated with the stucco repair and replacement job performed by Felipe Tovar."

"I would give zero stars if I could. They are completely incompetent. We hired them to install a set of french doors to my backyard. They couldn't get the door to close properly, and the French doors were scraping against each other when closing. They claimed the issue was a faulty hinge and that they needed to order a replacement. I emailed them multiple times for updates, and getting a response was like pulling teeth. They consistently postponed the repair date. When they finally returned to fix it, THREE MONTHS LATER, they discovered the problem wasn't the hinge at all, but rather a protruding screw. They didn't even use the replacement hinge; they simply replaced the screw. As a result, I had a non-functioning door for three months. Furthermore, we provided them with the specifications of the hardware we were going to order. They initially advised that a single dummy handle would suffice for the non-locking door, but it actually required a passage handle. However, when they realized the single dummy handle wouldn't work, they told us to order a double dummy handle, before they realized it needed a passage. Now, I have two extra sets of wasted hardware. I can't return them because their prolonged delay in installing the door caused the return period to expire. I also don't know what kind of discount door they got, but the handle is extremely low, only 30 inches above the ground. When I looked it up, door handles are usually 36 inches above the floor. They are terrible"

Gary, the Residential and Commercial Consultant, provided us with a thorough quotation that included property photographs, roof dimensions, recommended materials and timeframe for completing the project. The pricing estimates were aligned with our insurance estimates. We were comfortable submitting this professionally prepared quotation to our insurer and HOA (which required a 30-day notice). Lisa, the Finance Manager, let us know what to expect and provided documentation to our insurer. Materials were delivered the day prior to the start of the project. The next day the team of roofers laid out a protective tarp surrounding our property and began working. "From the beginning of the bid process through to the very end of the job, we were amazed at the quality of work, attention to detail, and professionalism showed by everyone from ownership to the people doing the work on our house. We were determined to find a contractor that met our standards; they're not very high...just do what you say and show up. To this end, we obtained bids from seven different contractors and though JASB was not the least expensive their professionalism and honesty was apparent from the beginning. The house is over thirty years old and the siding was deteriorated significantly, especially near the ground. We also wanted to replace all of the insulation where the siding was being replaced. Audie(the owner) helped us come up with a specific plan that we could afford and then gave us a time when they could start and they started on time. Here's what Alex(the foreman) and his crew did: Detached and reset all electrical wires, cables, fixtures and boxes. Removed all siding and adjacent trim from the Right, Left and Back sides of the house. Detached and reattached gutter so fascia could be painted. They also painted the gutter to match the trim. Replaced all existing soffit vents. Replace 40 linear feet of rotted framing. Installed R15 insulation where R13 insulation existed and added R15 insulation where there was none.. Installed moisture/ radiant barrier where siding was replaced. Taped all seams of moisture barrier with 2" seam tape. Installed 4" sealant tape around windows and doors. Installed Primed Hardie 8.25" Select Cedarmill horizontal lap siding planks where siding was removed. Installed Primed Hardie 3/4" Rustic Trim for frieze, corner, window and door trim. Removed and replaced 3 pieces of damaged soffit from the eaves under the back patio roof. This was originally quoted as 2 pieces but they found another one and replaced it without being prompted to do so. Caulked all repairs with elastomeric caulk. Prepped and power washed all areas to be painted. Applied 2 coats of paint to the entire house. They also did a fantastic job on our patio cover which is homemade and not very well done. They fixed a leak that had been there for years and we have no more leaks and can enjoy the patio again. This was the best experience we have had with any company we have asked to help us fix up our old house. Our house looks brand new!"
