"It went very well. Thomas is an experienced professional and a true gentleman. While doing some interior repairs and painting he noticed a spot from an old leak that we had not mentioned and he textured repainted it for free. He and his assistant do quality work for a reasonable price."

"Overall, the pricing for what all the work that was done was a very reasonable. Some areas of texture could have been done better but for the most part, you don't notice it unless I point it out. The exterior paint job was very good. Very clean job on the roof overhangs and windows. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the work and the price Ronald did my job for."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Cedar Hill, TX

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
