"After the inspection was performed, Vernon, call me right away. He informed me of the extent of the foundation damage , and what was the root cause of it. The house was recently flipped, and his photos showed the poor quality of workmanship by the company, heat ducting smashed closed, no pads for blocking if the floor beams, a portion of the crawl space was so narrow, it would only be able to be accessed from the top side.He also provided me with a verbal ball park estamate on what it would take to correct these problems."

"The finish is nice, wasn't going for fancy, just basic. The price was reasonable. Workers were nice, polite and cleaned up each day.
The project took so much longer than the it should have. Ordering of materials was slow which increased time by 3 weeks. 1st told me they would be in October 1st or 2nd, but insurance work came up and they had to do that. I had moved all the furniture out, jamming it into other areas of the house. I had to keep calling to find out when and if work was going to commense. Thought I might have to start the bid process all over again, over 3 weeks later finally got started.
The work done on the leveling out the floor over a bad concrete situation was well done. But, when the workers were not removing the 2nd old 1970's aluminum window, they said it was not on the bid, that's when I noticed a bust in the quote that there WERE 2 window removals and only the sliding glass door replacing one window, no new window. Disappointed they would think I'd want to keep that leaky old aluminum window and they didn't call the office about it. The new window was ordered over a week later and had to wait 10 working days for delivery. After living with it, the exterior finish trim has gaps and is cheap looking-doesn't go with the rest of the house and will have to be redone somehow with new trim similar to rest of the house.
Baseboard trim was ordered AFTER most of the completion, 5 days wait. It was ordered by linear feet but didn't consider piece need. Had to wait another 5 days for the additional 5 ft. and it was installed after the carpet was in. New drywall looks good, flat, no joints showing but the texture was excessive, didn't match the lighter texture I wanted that was on one of the walls not being redone, it was the example, made my painting more difficult. After the slow start and delays I didn't want to have it redone. I spent 3 hours just on scraping some of the streaking excess before priming and painting. Did not have to do that on prior work done on the house including the example wall.
Think It would have progressed better to have had a dedicated superintendent or lead that really knew my project and had some authority. Communications had to be with Paul and you can't leave messages on his cell phone, keep calling until you get him and/or call and leave a message at the office. He is also not on site except for occasional inspections, he's a project manager. I feel if there had been someone acting as a superintendent, that had reviewed the bid thoroughly before the start, the omitted window would have been noticed sooner and material ordered promptly. I thought I had reviewed it well, had been very concerned on the sliding glass door replacing one of the windows, that I missed the new window. Most construction projects usually have a forgotten item or something missed, it's a given, but prompt response is imperative. Also, several times workers showed up here, but were then sent elsewhere.
Part of my disappointment in the mentioned aspects of the project is my fault for not being more demanding and having things done/redone, I tend to just fix it myself later. The third item of swamp cooler water damage repair was not done as the timing of work was after the swamp cooler was shut down for the winter and inspection and testing could not be done during the repair.

"

"Replacing a garbage disposal might seem like a pretty simple task for most, but neither my husband or I are experienced D-I-Yers, and we didn't want to worry about any leaks or other issues if we did not do it properly ourselves. I purchased a new disposal and Dan came up promptly and installed it for significantly less than quoted to me by the box store that I purchased the disposal from. Dan will provide free quotes and will do small projects (for the unhandy homeowner like myself) to more major construction and remodeling work. I will be having him help with replacing a shower door and fixing a leaky shower for me next.
"

"There was cracking in the sheet-rock of my garage. I reported it to Taylor Morrison who sent out an engineer to take many measurements to determine if there was a structural issue with my house. Hunter Engineering's diagnosis was that there were structural issues with my house that needed addressing. First, (ASR Companies) they dug up the concrete floor of my garage, installed reinforcing posts to support and re-level my garage and re poured the concrete floor. Next, the driveway was dug up and re poured. In the process of breaking up the driveway, a piece of construction equipment called a Ditch Witch backed up on to my front stairs causing them to fracture. They removed and re poured my front steps. My entire basement had to be emptied. ASR contracted a local mover to pack up and store all my belongings. They removed a permanent window and installed a temporary window so that they could access the basement work area without disturbing us. I called them the cave dwellers. They entered and exited the house from the temporary window and I didn't have the opportunity to meet them all and learn their names. They put up a temporary locking door at the bottom of the basement stairs for safety, security and privacy purposes. They removed the carpeting to gain access to the wooden structural floor boards. They removed the floor boards, removed a whole lot of dirt that had expanded and was causing stress on a steel girder under the house. After sufficient dirt was removed to relieve stress on the structure, an adjustment was made to a component called a micro-post underneath the house. They made miniscule adjustments of 1/4 and 3/8ths inches in these posts which resulted in re leveling my house. They let the house settle for thirty days. This minor adjustment that they made caused additional, however, expected cracking of the sheet-rock in other areas of the home. They sent in their expert cosmetic team that restored the house to better than new. They went above and beyond and I can't express enough how pleased I was with their work ethic, their professionalism, their upbeat attitude, their reverence to my property, their commitment, the quality of their work and they were just fun, pleasant guys. I can't praise them enough for getting me through this extremely stressful time and we spent many weeks together. Living in a construction zone is not pleasant. Their was some collateral damage that could not be avoided. ASR Companies restored any and all collateral damage that was incurred during the reconstruction and left my house spotless. Thank you Kenny and Robert and Eddie and Ray and Billy and Andrew and all the hard working folks who's names I never got to know. There was no challenge that they could not handle.
"

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Cedaredge, CO

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
