"Our great room was always cold. Previous owners had put an addition to create a great room.  There was no crawl space access under the addition. Workers cut a hole in the subfloor (we were expecting that) to work.  We had a crew of 3 men.  They spray foamed all the rim joists, and laid 2"Silverglo up the walls and floor .  They took pictures.  Then repaired the floor.  The room was already noticeably warmer.
The second part of the job was to insulate the attic over the addition.  The salesman said they would have to cut a hole in the ceiling inside the great room to do the work as there was no roof access.  I was going nuts trying to figure out how to deal with a hole in the ceiling , where it should be so we had access. and how to repair it asthetically.   When Matt came he said that was a terrible idea.  He would do it from the outside and added a roof vent to finish the job.  It was perfect.He took pictures and our room is much warmer. Matt is a builder so he could deal with all the construction and building repairs.   Now for new carpeting and paint.
