"Donna, her son, husband and crew did a beautiful job cleaning out our jungle of a front yard, pruning and removing overgrowth, installed professional bordered pathways, subtle plantings and mulch. They worked hard, were prompt, very courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will use them again!"

"Mario, the owner, was extremely prompt, professional and courteous from the very first contact to the end of the project. His thorough explanation of the entire project process set a high bar of expectation that he exceeded! His hands on approach with the project was amazing although he never had to push his crew to be on task. They arrived each day on time and put in a full day of work with a smile. I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed that the worksite was 100% cleaned up each day before departure - including pressure washing! His attention to detail and his vision for improving the beauty of your space is a priceless skill. We will welcome guests into our backyard with great pride and recommend Clean Cut to everyone wanting to add value to their property."

"I was really happy with them and I like the way they work. I have used them a couple of times. I decided to use this company because of word of mouth. They also removed a smaller tree from my property through my insurance company. They had all of the equipment they needed and did not have to borrow anything. They were on time, worked diligently and finished the job on time. They cleaned up real nice and I would say their pricing is good."

"<p>Perry came in and framed and built support for a waterfall I had installed on my pond. </p> <p>After terracing the ground, poured a cement foundation and then mounted the rocks. Plumbing was added to bring the exhaust water from my water cooled heat pump to the waterfall. Now when the A/C runs, exhaust water flows over the waterfall and into my pond. </p> <p>We have a hilled Garden, and he built the steps to the upper level allowing access to a bench where solitude and viewing may be had. </p>"

"They are an excellent company.  They made it look very simple.  Everything was very organized.  They have excellent employees.  The entire job went very smoothly and correctly.  They are very expensive but you get what you pay for.  Brad was a pleasure to work with, I would definitely use them again!  The quality of the plants and trees was excellent as well."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Chalmette, LA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
