This has been especially useful when the ants start to come back in the warmer weather. Since we've been a long term customer, Steve knows exactly where the problem areas are in our yard and treats them proactively. Preventive Pest Control
is a customer-service oriented company. In 10 years I've never had an issue or complaint with Preventive Pest Control's

"The lines ran under the driveway, but a sleeve was in place to allow easier replacement. They replaced old soft black plastic lines with PVC, installed drip breakouts, and replaced on/off valve. They did an excellent and professional job, very satisfied. No leaks now, and a happy wife since her roses won't die or require manual watering."

"I called to schedule to have someone come out and give me an estimate, unfortunately they can not guarantee the time when they come out so I was not there.  I normally would not do this, but they have done tree triming at my home before.  So I had given instructions on what I wanted done and then I was able to talk to Jason on the phone after he had been there to make sure he quoted me a couple of different ways.  I was emailed the quote the same day and it was broken out just how I wanted so I could decide what services I wanted.  I then called to schedule the service and the person who took the information was very friendly and helpful.  I was given the date I wanted since I wanted to be there especially since they were removing a large tree next to a very large expensive Saquaro.  All went very well, they showed up in the time frame they gave me and did the work very efficiently.  I told them to make sure I approved the trees before they started putting all of their tools away just in case I wanted more off, and they did come to me before they did.    They also cleaned up fairly well since this is a really messy job.  Since I was having a tree removed, they do that in 2 different times with the second being a separate crew with the stump grinder.  But luckily I made sure when I called to make sure it would be scheduled on the same day so I could be there.  ( I remember reading other reviews regarding the separate times)  Luckily I was there because apparently the normal stump grinder they use is very large and heavy and the guy said it would probably leave large dark skid marks across my expensive patio of pavers which are very light colored.  Since I didn't like that idea, I asked him if he had any alternatives and he said they had a much smaller grinder but that it only took the stump down about 4" or so.  I was totally ok with that since I knew I wasn't going to be planting anything else in that exact area anyway.  So I was really glad I was there and I was glad he gave me an alternative so as not to mark up my patio which would of been really hard to get out.  So overall my experience was very good and I would definitely hire them back, my only complaint would be that I had asked them to call me when they were on there way and they didn't, but they did show up in the time frame they told me."

I purchased a deal which included 3-man hours of landscaping/clean-up. The deal consisted of either one man for 3 hours
or 3 men for one hour. The work needed involved planting six 5 gallon small shrubs along a newly installed block wall and creating a slightly sloping border along the wall. When I contacted Mike I indicated that I would appreciate having the work done by a certain date..can't recall exactly. I received a call early morning a day or two after advising that they were in the area... could they come by right away?  I wasn't really ready as I wanted to purchase some border material first, however, since the plants were sitting in pots I said yes. Two young men showed up... one was the owner's son. I gave them instructions and pretty much left them alone. When I checked up on the progress, they didn't seem to have paid much attention to the placement of the plants. One was too close to the wall and they weren't lined up. All they did was dig a quick hole, stuck the plants in and covered hole back up by hand. The time spent was exactly 25 minutes (from 9:35 am to 10 am).
I had to leave for an appointment and my confidence in them was wavering, so I let them leave. Sometime after, either later that same day or the following day, Mike called to see how things went. I expressed my disappointment in the young men's seeming disinterest in how they did the job in addition to only having less than half an hour for a 3-hour deal. Mike said to call when I was ready to complete the project and he would make up for the time. One plant died relatively soon thereafter. When I lifted the bottom leafs I saw that the roots were exposed. Subsequently two more bit the dust. I am not holding them responsible for that since I don't really know why only three plants survived, but I do know that two of them had been planted literally almost on top of dormant torch bouganvillas. They are now under the bouganvillia which have grown considerably. To his credit, Mike did offer to provide the time paid for. I just never took advantage and the project remains unfinished.

UPDATE 8/6/13:

I posted this review yesterday evening. First thing this morning I received a call from Mike apologizing and offering to do whatever it took to make things "right." Later, checking the email, I also received an apology from the office manager Daniel reiterating their desire to improve their rating which included free plants and/or labor. They both made it clear that customer service was their priority. Since it's not the best time of the year to take advantage of the offer, I will update after this deal is completed. That said, their very speedy response is much appreciated, thus I have changed the grade for responsiveness and professionalism."

We have had them for a year or so. We have been very satisfied with them. They have changed managers and various things, but in general they have done a good job. We continue to use them. They were supposed to come today but the guy had a flat tire so they are coming tomorrow. They come every two weeks. It is $70 per visit. As long as they keep on coming and as long as they maintain a crew that continues to come we will continue with them.
