"When the first guy did not show or call I touch base with Carolina Hydroclean and spoke to Tommy. Tommy was so nice and said he could come after he finished the job he was working on. When he got here he asked if it was ok to do the house first and I said sure because that would let me put the porch furniture back out on the back porch and out of my dinning room and kitchen. Tommy went above and beyond with the pressure washing . He got the house done in a timely fashion and when the rain got here before he could get his equipment up he said he would come back for the drive-way. He would not accept any money until he finished the full project. That was a first for me and told me is an honest person.. It's been a long time since I've been that pleased with hiring someone. If you hire Tommy you will not regret it."

"Dan did a great job. He washed our drive way, fences, porch, and exterior surfaces on our 3+ story townhome. He arrived ready to work and thoroughly cleaned our home to get us in-compliance with our HOA. Highly recommended, great work for the cost!"

"Jeremiah and his team are professional and thorough. They arrived on time and did an excellent job of power washing our two driveways, porch, patio and house exterior (brick and siding). His pricing was reasonable and transparent. We would absolutely hire him again and we highly recommend him."

FAQs for powerwashing projects in Charleston, SC

It costs $250 to $1,000 to soft wash the outside of most homes. This process uses low-pressure water and sometimes a bristle brush with a light cleaning solution. For a DIY solution, you can also buy a spray-on cleaner that attaches directly to a garden hose, though it may not be as effective for tough stains.

Pressure washing an exterior house takes between 30 minutes to 3 hours. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the level of dirt and grime, and how accessible the surfaces are. Hiring a professional can expedite the process, as they have the experience and equipment to work efficiently. If you choose to do it yourself, plan for additional time to account for setup and learning proper techniques.

Power washing can harm your siding or driveway if not done correctly. High-pressure water can damage surfaces like wood, vinyl siding, and concrete if excessive force is used. To prevent harm, it's crucial to use the appropriate pressure settings and techniques for each material. Hiring a professional ensures that your siding and driveway are cleaned safely and effectively. If power washing isn't suitable, a professional may recommend alternative methods, such as soft washing or sandblasting.

When hiring power or pressure washing services, look for licensed, bonded, and insured companies to protect yourself from liability. Check for certifications and ask for references to verify their experience. It's important to get a detailed written estimate that includes all costs, such as labor, materials, and equipment. Confirm whether they will use your water supply or provide their own, and ensure they use appropriate cleaning methods for your home's surfaces. Lastly, read customer reviews to gauge their reputation and quality of work.

Yes, most pressure washing companies use your water supply to complete the job. Expect the technician to connect their equipment to your outdoor faucet or hose bib. Some companies, particularly those servicing large commercial projects or areas without accessible water sources, may bring their own water tanks or trucks. It's important to ask your chosen service provider about their water usage policies before they begin the work.

Most pressure washing companies use your water when completing a job. However, some companies will bring their own water trucks.
