"Our main Road was repaved. Which put in up higher than our driveway. Every time it rained hard we were getting run off water in and around our house. I call Paving & Resurfacing they not only paved my 2 Driveways but took care of my water problem also. They were in and completed in 1 day.   I have since told a few other people who I have used and they have used them also. Great job, at a good price for services rendered. <br />"

"Owner, Scott Means, gave an estimate and started work within a week. There were some weather delays, but this was unavoidable. Scott was onsite to supervise and in touch with me regularly to ensure that the work met my approval. His workmen were friendly and professional. When there was a slight problem with one of the wing walls on the steps leading to the sidewalk, Scott and the bricklayer worked with me until it met my expectations. The finished result is stunning, and everyone in the neighborhood has been asking who did the work. If you want Blue Creek, call early because they stay busy. They are well worth the wait! Excellent craftsmanship. Excellent service. <br />"

"I like the fact he was honest and very helpful with explaining to me exactly what I needed. He finished the job before his deadline . Not to mention he did a great job and it really helped the look of my house. I also decided to hire his company to replace my siding & build a deck. My house finally looks like the dream home I've always wanted. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again for any of my construction needs. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Charleston, WV

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
