"My husband found Mark to be so accommodating with us in every way.  We were concerned about the cost and he allayed our fears as best he could, however stating that until the situation was assessed underground, it was impossible to truly know the extent of the problem.  Randy came out with a contractor, and they began to dig up the area, trying their best to keep as much landscaping as possible intact.  They found multiple problems with the original construction of the house.  There was a piece of tubing that connected the whole line to the house, and it was never glued together, but rather pushed together, dating the problem back to 2001.  The sewage had been seeping underground into our front yard for a long time.  Randy replaced this piece appropriately as well as the piping that had buckled that led out of the home.  This occurred because no one properly supported the pipes with materials so that this problem wouldn't happen.  They made sure that they put the necessary gravel where it was needed under the new pipes before placing the dirt back.  Once I knew it was a huge job but not sure of how much financially it would cost, I asked Randy if we could make a second payment the following week if it was over $1300.  He called Mark and Mark agreed.  I found this to be immensely accommodating and remarkable for a company.  In the end, we were fortunate that the damage was not as extensive as it appeared it would be.  I cannot say enough positive things about this company and Mark and Randy.  They waived the diagnostic fee and tried to keep things as cheap as possible.  I know because I watched every step.  In addition, the contractor they used cut off an hour of his work fee.  We had used another plumber in the past, and their estimated fee for the service was way over what we were told by Mark.  And Mark and Randy worked very hard to keep the estimate even lower than what they initially guessed.  My husband and I consider ourselves very blessed to have chosen the right company to help us with our home crisis.  I had read the reviews on Angie's List and felt that we should call them.  I am so happy we did. <br />"

"Called on 7/17 because of a sulfur smell in the basement - well all over the house actually.  I was given a window of 2-6.  When we were out shopping at 1:00, I got a call that they were at my front door.  I pointed out that we had given that we had been given a  2:00 window and weren't able to get back for awhile.  He eventually noticed the service window at the bottom of his work order, and said he would come back at 2:00. At 2:00, he was very prompt.  He attempted to diagnose the problem, but after an hour of trying, he gave up, collected the dispatch charge (which as we are home care members, was only half of the normal charge), and left. <br /> We then got some people from the city (thinking that it was sanitary sewer), as well as someone from the gas company to come out.  They mentioned that it could be the pit we have, as it wasn't sealed properly, but they were not able to truly pinpoint the source of the smell, though I'm not sure they tried. <br /> I called Sobieski back to seal up the pit, and the appointment coordinator told me she would forward my info to the guy who had been out the day before.  He never called back.  So I called again the next morning, and told her I would like someone different.  The new guy came out within his service window, and sealed up the pit.  But that is all he did.  He did not try to further diagnose the problem, because sealing it obviously didn't solve the problem. In all fairness, I did call him out just to seal the pit, and was not charged another dispatch charge.  However, I was a little disappointed because all he did was seal the cracks with silicone.  We could have easily done that, but called a professional because we thought they would provide a professional solution. <br /> Even though we are home care members, I am pretty sure that we will not be calling them again.  It wasn't an awful experience, but we did pay $120 for pretty much nothing.  We did end up getting our problem fixed by a different plumber entirely."

"Hooked up our kitchen sink and dishwasher, demolished old bathroom walls and put up hardi backer for us to tile on our own. Moved toilet flange and redid vanity plumbing to 2 separate plumbing for his/hers sinks. A little on the expensive side and process from start to finish took a little to long (ordered tub beginning of Jan...plumber went on vacation a week..Took another week to install tub and do drywall and hardibacker. Owner could have been a little more customer friendly at times and didnt show up on time a few times. Could have kept us a little more in the loop of the tub being delayed or when he was going to show up. Told my husband the first tub was broke, but never told me anything about that when he didnt show up all day and I questioned when he was coming out multiple times, when said he would be there at 8-9am the week before...came at 4pm (had to take a day off work..lack of communication). Complained about multiple contractors working on the house at the time and said he could do a better job..just too confident with his abilities. Will probably look elsewhere for further projects. His assistant was very nice and friendly <br />"
