"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. Although we live in a townhouse, the record-breaking Maryland rainfall and the slant of the front lawn toward our foundation had caused serious water build up at our foundation and threat to overflow into the basement.. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. Kyle saw the seriousness of the problem, brought his co-worker Matt who would do the work to help plan their project and scheduled a date. Matt was excellent and very thorough. "We had a abasement apartment that was a Mess... Krause Construction came in and gutted our bathroom and kitchen. Redesigned both . Redid all the plumbing and electrical. Put a pocket door going into the bathroom which worked out great. Put new flooring in all rooms. We had them put a barn door going into the play room. Great job I love it. They put 5 new windows in the apartment. Painted all walls. Also redid my so called laundry room. Now it looks like a laundry room. Yea! New walls and floor. Krause Construction did an excellent job. My husband and I love the crew they were great guys. Not only was the work excellent but they kept us informed of what they were doing. When they started we said take your time. BUT my husband and I had someone special to us coming into town and asked if we could have the apartment done a lot sooner. "This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure. "Cand S Lawncare comes to my house on a weekly basis to mow our lawn. They are always on time and if it happens to be raining on my usual lawn day, the come out the very next clear day. Dealing with the owner, Chris is a pleasant experience and he is always available to answer questions, help with any issues that may arise, etc. The only reason I gave them a and quot;Band quot; for quality is because we've had to tell them on several occasions to mow along where our property line actually is and not where they think it might be and because I often see some missed areas of trimming under the large pine trees along our fence. "Daniel's Lawn Care has always done a great job with my landscaping. The shrubs and mulch always look great. I had two additional projects this year. One was an edging for the flower beds and the other was a patio. The edging of the flower beds is quite nice and made the beds look terrific. I know the project was tedious but the team always took their time and asked me my preferences along the way. The patio was a special project and I am thrilled with the final outcome. It is beautiful and professional looking. The owner, Brian, and his team were confident, knowledgeable, and caring from start to finish. They answered every question and explained things in detail as the project went on. During one phase of the project something happened beyond their control and they were quick to provide a solution and move forward. I also liked the materials and the methods used to make the patio. Joe didn't just throw down the polymer fill material and use a floor broom to fill in the between the bloc. He put the material down slowly, one bag at a time, and filled in the joints by hand with a hand broom. This made for a very professional and clean look to the last phase of the project. Joe and his team were meticulous and did not rush. Family visited a few days after the edging and patio were complete and were quite impressed by the look and quality of the work.
