"From the moment I contacted Evergreen Insulation, their professionalism and dedication were evident. They promptly scheduled a visit to assess the crawlspace and discuss my insulation needs. What impressed me the most was their willingness to tackle the challenging nature of the space, which had deterred other companies from taking on the project. Upon inspection, the team at this company thoroughly explained the difficulties involved in working with my crawlspace. They highlighted the unique obstacles, tight access points, and the need for meticulous attention to detail. Despite these challenges, they remained undeterred and assured me that they were up to the task. When it came to pricing, I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike other companies that had inflated their quotes due to the complexity of the job, this company provided a fair and transparent estimate. They took the time to explain the breakdown of costs, assuring me that their pricing was based on the actual requirements of the project rather than exploiting the challenging nature of the crawlspace. During the insulation installation, the team demonstrated their expertise and commitment to excellence. They meticulously navigated the tight spaces, ensuring every corner and crevice was properly insulated. Their attention to detail was commendable, and they made sure to address any concerns or questions I had along the way. The results were nothing short of exceptional. Despite the inherent difficulties, the crawlspace was flawlessly insulated, providing me with improved energy efficiency and a more comfortable living environment. The level of craftsmanship and dedication exhibited by this company truly surpassed my expectations. I cannot recommend this company enough for their outstanding work on my challenging crawlspace. Their fair pricing, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional results set them apart from the competition. If you're in need of crawlspace insulation, don't hesitate to reach out to this company!"

"Called Monday morning - needed septic pumped on urgent basis - and quot;glurgingand quot; heard through pipes. Office took my name, number, scheduled a two-hour window, gave me the price and that was it. <br /> <br /> Tuesday: called house and told wife the time they'd be there. They were very punctual, manuevered the truck in, opened the tank up, cleaned the filter, and pumped 624 gallons out of a 500 gallon tank. They did a cursory examination of the tank and, after talking with my wife, providing a detailed receipt and taking the credit card information, they left. <br /> <br />"

"<ul> <li>The installation went OK but after they left we waited  the 2 hours to let it heat up and it did not seem to produce consistently hot water. Called back and they  had the tech call us back. He said he did not replace the valves. He came out the next day to corrected this.It now seems to work OK but not as good as the old one. I think I will try turning the tank up.</li> </ul> <br />"

"When I needed to have a leaking faucet in my laundry room sink replaced I first called a "Handy Man" service in Olympia, thinking that it would be cheaper than a regular plumber.  When the handy man gave me an estimate of $300, which I knew was way out of line for the work involved,  I decided to ask friends and relatives for recommendations.  Everyone said the same thing: Call DJ's, they are good, they are quick and they are honest.  I called them and explained what I needed done. I also told them that I knew that it was just a small job and that I would be willing to wait until they had a crew in the area doing someone else's bigger job.   <br /> The person I spoke to was great.  She said that she would schedule me in when they did have a truck out this way, and that it would probably be within a week to 10 days.  She told me that they charge $90 an hour, with an hour minimum. <br /> She called me back 2 days later and said that if I were going to be home the following morning she could have someone stop and do the work.  First thing the next day the truck pulled up.  I aimed to workers at the sink and handed them the replacement faucet which I had found on sale at Amazon, and less than 15 minutes later they were done. <br /> They told me that the office would be mailing me a bill.  Rather than wait I called the office and offered to pay with my credit card.  I was pleasantly surprised and more than pleased when I was told that because the job went so quickly I was only being charged half of the usual minimum.  So instead of the $90 I was quoted,  they only charged me $45 plus tax. <br /> This would be a wonderful world if all the businesses were like DJ's Plumbing.  I HIGHLY recommend them! <br />"

"Our well pump gave out after approx. 25 years. We called a well drilling company that did not repair/install well pumps and referred us to Preferred. We called Bruce Greene, owner, on a Saturday morning and left a message. He returned our call promptly. He asked for information which we were able to provide in order to give us an estimate and the equipment he would need for the job: our well was about 100 feet deep, and the building which housed the pump was newly built in 2007 -- the old one was over 40 yrs old, had deteriorated and had to be torn down. The installation of a new pump required pulling the well pipe up and cutting it in sections to remove it, as it could not be pulled straight up without cutting a hole in the roof. (The old pipe was galvanized metal -- the new one would be the more flexible pvc.) He advised that working this way is significantly slower, more involved and would add to the cost. We figured it would, but did not want to cut a hole in or remove a relatively new roof, as the section housing the pump was insulted and the building also doubled as a garden shed. Since it was not an emergency situation and we don't have any children at home, it was mutually agreed that work could wait 'til Monday. He and his helper arrived promptly at the agreed hour (8 am) and began work; everything was completed by 11:30, hours ahead of schedule. The pump replaced with the same mfg and hp as the original. They removed all old material, and left after ascertaining that everything was in proper working order. We were promptly billed close to, a little under, the estimate and paid immediately :) We are very pleased with the entire job, the communication, and price and would recommend this company without hesitation, at least for the type of task they did for us. They do other water related work but unfortunately do not have a website. I am also sending a note of thanks to the referring company."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Chehalis, WA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
