We got a decent tax refund this year and decided to get it done by somebody that knows what they're doing. Using Angie's List, we got four competitive bids to do the work. He found several areas of our lathe and plaster walls that required extra repair finish work that extended the time necessary to get the job completed. In order to finish within 1 week, as quoted, he offered and did work both Saturday and Sunday going above and beyond our expectations to ensure a flawless outcome! "Our home had a simple upper level walk-out deck that essentially had room for a grill and small two person table. We were looking to expand the size of the upper level and also put a lower level in and attach the two with a winding staircase. Since I am no fan of maintaining a deck, we decided to go with Trex. Via a friend's referral, I called HDF and spoke with owner Dale. After going over what I was looking for he came by to review everything and asked to give him a day or two to jot some ideas down of other options I could consider for such a big project. When we spoke again, since our back yard faced woods and was going to be used for entertaining he suggested topping the rails with solar powered light posts. Since the upper level covered a portion of the lower deck he suggested he put in a ceiling type contraption that would trap the water and drain it out the side. The work crew was at the house every single day, including the weekend until the job was done. Seeing it go from nothing (once the old deck was removed) to what you see in the picture was pretty amazing. From our neighbors to friends and relatives do nothing but rave about the deck. It is an amazing place to entertain or just kick back with the wife and relax."
