"I hired Lights On Electric to run an underground line from the electric panel in my home to my new storage shed, 80 feet within the home and 100 feet buried conduit to the electric panel in the shed. This required a rental trencher and some difficult hand digging. The work was done in one day by Hank and Chris. They are able technicians and they did an excellent job. "Our electrical panel started arcing so we shut it off and had Frank come out and look at it. Initially thought it was from overloading the breaker box but come to find out there were several things done wrong that were fire hazards by previous owners and electricians. I liked Frank because he came quick and was consistent. A lot of people will normally try and upsell you and we initially thought we needed to upgrade to 200 amps based off of having all electrical appliances. Frank came in, showed us what was wrong, told us what we could do, what we couldn’t do, and assured us we did not need 200amps. He was also very reasonable with pricing. "We used Gen3 in the past for a small job and were pleased, so we decided to use them to replace our old knob and tube wiring. Our technicians were nice and friendly. But there were a lot of problems. They did not sufficiently clean up after the work they did each day. We had to clean up ourselves, and our home was full of dust and debris. The workers scratched our floor, dented some kitchen cabinets, took a chunk out of a wall, and did a sloppy job patching up the holes they made during the job. They missed one of our outlets, so we'll have to rewire that one ourselves. They damaged our outside flood lights, and we had to replace them. They did not label the circuits on the new sub-panel they installed. And, I'm sorry to write this, but they used our bathrooms every day for more than just urination. I felt like our home was abused."

"The quote was nearly 50% higher than our lowest quote and about 25% higher than the next highest quote. Also, the electrician recommended a GFCI breaker, which would have been incompatible with our installation (the outlet was to be used with an electric vehicle charger that has built-in GFCI protection). Doubling up on the GFCI can cause problems and is against the installation directions. I wouldn't expect the electrician to know this necessarily (he didn't see the installation directions), but he boasted that they have worked with Teslas, so perhaps he should know (or stop using that as a selling point). Wes Carver Electrical was the only one to recommend GFCI, which added even more to the cost and put that part of their quote about 75% higher than what we ultimately paid for the work."
