"<blockquote> Ok I needed a lot of work done on my house.I looked in ANGIES and found them gave a call. These guys are extremely busy for good reason.John returned my call same day and came over in the evening to talk about what we wanted. They basically can do any repairs.Their prices were best out of 3 .They absolutely kept to the agreement not a penny more. They are professional and friendly and do a beautiful job. They installed french doors and tiled our floors, fixed front door and even fixed our broken hose.Everything was exactly as they said. I have a huge new list of work for them, but, they are very busy.I am hoping in the next week or 2 they will be able to come back for more. Thanks Angie for everything. <br /> </blockquote>"

"After getting 7 estimates and getting the run around from several I called performance who had also painted my house when it was built. They came promptly, gave me the color I wanted without argument, completed the job in a timely manner for a fair price. I'm so happy. <br />"

"Excellent! Joe and his painters went above and beyond for me as I live out of town from the job location. On time, great work and always answered my calls and questions. Needed extensive prep work and interior paint for 2,400 sq ft home. Very fair price and honest. Highly recommend! ??"

"They did a great job with the installation of the ceiling fan and light fixture. They cleaned up well after their work. The caulking in the bathroom was done nicely except that the color of the caulk did not match exactly with what we had. Unfortunately, they were not able to complete everthing: They were not able to fix the sealant around the bathroom door, install a doorknocker, and could not retouch scratchs on the baseboards. We were supposed to have the supplies for them to complete the work. I did not have any baseboard puddy. The screw for the doorknocker was too small for our door and they did not have any screws with them that would have worked. They also asked to take a sample of the silicon sealant wtih them to a complany that deals with shower doors and get back to us. We never did get the sample they took. They had called us a couple of weeks later saying that they could not come back and fix the bathroom door seal. <br />"

"<p>I will never pick up a paint brush again!! William and Scott did an excellent job on painting my kitchen and dining room. They had to spackle some walls and install baseboards. They were very polite, friendly, and hard workers. I would defienetly recommend them highly. In fact Im calling them back to do my bedroom,</p> <br />"

"From start to finish, this is a great company to work with. After finding them on AL, I called to make the free consultation for an estimate. A date was set up and the owner, Curtis, showed up right on time. As I walked him through the house explaining what I wanted (which ended up being pretty abstract on some things) he took notes and made suggestions on things I wasn't sure of. He understood exactly what I was saying which was good because I wasn't 100 percent sure how to explain what I wanted in some areas! Within a few days, we received the estimate, which I thought was very competitive and reasonable. I also called 2 other Angie's List companies for estimates. Since this is about CJ, I won't go into those negative stories, but the estimate I got from one was a little higher (I never heard back from the other one) so I feel CJ’s price was good and fair. About 2 weeks after I received and accepted their contract, they commenced work. They explained they couldn't start sooner due to a job they were already working and told me they like to work straight through on a job so they can finish it fast and not bounce between 2 or 3 projects (like many companies do and really annoys me). That was good with me! I can't say enough about the quality of their work and hardworking, friendly employees. Curtis was there the first day to make sure the wall removal went right and checked in on most days. He also helped me make some aesthetic decisions I wasn't completely sure of like the column size/placement, how much wall to remove at the entrance and the direction of the tile. Within 4 weeks, the work was complete to my total satisfaction (including final inspection) and we received our final invoice. The 4 weeks was largely due to me or they probably would have been done in a week. I changed my mind numerous times on various things. I would call their office and talk to Lynette (VP and office Jack of all trades) and say "I think I want to add this or change that." She always responded pleasantly with No Problem, listened patiently to me ramble on (with lots of self-doubt on my decision making!) and never made me feel like I was being a pain, which I know I was LOL. Also, part of the holdup was our decision on tiling part or all of the areas except bedrooms AND selection of the tile. Picking a tile was super important to me and took me over 2 weeks which delayed their work and disrupted their work schedule, but they never pressured me to hurry. There was also a minor mistake due to a pinched wire which required a small removal of part of a wall in 3 areas. This was repaired immediately and it looks incredible. You would never know where it was replaced because their guy was absolutely amazing. In fact, all of his employees were excellent. They were conscientious, polite and always cleaned up any mess they made. One of the other things I love is how the floor turned out. It looks amazing and Ben, their employee who laid the tile, is an artist! He also consulted me on the direction of the tile (adding his much appreciated expert opinion as well) and really analyzed the project before even starting. It was a tedious process because with plank tiles, not only is it more important to have the grout lines absolutely perfect, you have to watch out for lippage due to the length of plank tiles. I've walked the floors, sliding my feet across and it feels perfect. The cuts he made around corners, etc. are impeccable. Also, tiling the kitchen was difficult because we have a wall dividing the kitchen from the family room. So, coming from the family room, he had to tile from the dining room on one side and the breakfast nook on the other and meet in the kitchen. It was perfect! I really love the floors and the more open look of my house! The walls turned out fantastic, it's great to be able to see out to my family room when washing dishes and I love the column. Everything turned out just as I wanted! Thank you Curtis, Lyn and team! From start to finish (and resolving the final punch list especially the vent in the guest bathroom!) you never disappointed. CJ Custom Carpentry is a top notch company that I would recommend to anyone and plan to use for any future remodeling."
