"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"

"American Custom Contractors sent Blaise to our house almost immediately to check it out. Blaise went into our attic to check, then took ladder to climb to roof. He repaired the seams around the ventilation system on the roof. Blaise also explained the correct procedure of removing the stained ceiling so as to prevent the spreading of mold. "We called at around 4 pm and they said an electrician would be out in 1-2 hours. I called again at 6 pm to check on status and talked to their answering service, who couldn't give me information. No one called me back for 45 minutes, at which point she said that someone would come in 45 minutes. The electrician finally arrived at 8 pm, at which point he said the problem was probably with Dominion Electric Power Company, which turned out to be the case. So, I'm unhappy that it took so much longer than estimated to get an electrician to my house and they could have told me from the beginning to call Dominion instead."
