Project: Install a Central Air Conditioning System
Carmichael, CA

Gilmore replaced my whole HVAC system, except for the duct work, at the end of June 2017. Gilmore also connected a supply register in one bedroom with a new duct to the supply plenum, added a new supply register via a split in the master bedroom, added a return register outside another room, and insulated the cold-water lines. Gilmore's prices were in-line with other companies that provided bids; although some of the suggested solutions to rooms that ran colder/hotter during the cold and hot seasons differed. Gilmore technicians were polite, on-time, worked efficiently, and demonstrated how to use the thermostat. The job took longer than expected, but that was mainly due to the old HVAC system's being too large for the attic opening. The technicians had to get creative with extracting it. They cleaned up all the large pieces of debris; however, they left a mess on the hallway carpet which my daughter vacuumed up. Two of the three rooms that ran hot in the summer were much more comfortable this summer. The door to the other room had to be kept open to keep it comfortably cool. Now that the colder weather is here, one of the three rooms that ran cold in the winter is comfortable. A portable radiant heater is still needed for one room and extra bedding for the other. My purchase came with two years of free service. I had expected Gilmore to call to schedule the service, but I had to call instead. Had I waited, I would have gotten a call in December, 6 months after the system replacement, but that seemed to defeat the purpose of having system maintenance done at the beginning of the cold and hot seasons. Gilmore sent a large box of cookies from Kelli's Cookies. My daughters and grandsons have been enjoying them immensely. It was delivered to my door along with a thank-you card.

After 3 estimates I hired Honest and Fair Heating & Air. George was very patient with my questions, in fact he encourages it. He is highly professional and I would recommend him to any of my friends & family.
