Instead of replacing the lock, Alan, who is the proprietor of Lightning Locks, was able to fix the old lock in no time flat. "It went fine. They removed double sliding patio doors, replaced all wheels on doors and installed new track on bottom. Old track was so bent we could barely move the doors. They now glide easily. At first they were noiseless, but a couple of weeks later they got a little noisy, although they still glide smoothly. This may have been due to pressure put on the door when we later had a safety laminate put on the glass. I wish I'd done it years ago, as the struggle to open & close them was really annoying.
We initially planned to replace the doors, but they're 60 years old, no one makes them any more and it would have cost many thousands of dollars to replace. We're quite happy.

We needed a complete remodel of our master bath and in the same time, we wanted to replace the carpet in the bedroom and to replace the closet with a new one that can function better for us. "Although they came quickly and seemed nice, they said the spring was worn out and needed replacement, for $500.  We did not get the spring replaced with them, as we decided to look around for a better deal. We went with another company who, when they came out, said it didn't need a replacement at all.  They just adjusted the spring, for $225.  And it has worked great since then.
