Small jobs welcome

"We could not be more impressed, and thankful, for the work Alex did. Our house has turned 100 this year, and we have had fits with the pocket door of our one, and only, bathroom. We had tried to “ fix it” ourselves many times, but only made it worse. Alex came within 1 hour of our first contacting him, ready to work, and was familiar with all the workings of this old door. It now slides straight and smooth, and he also fixed the lock.! We will definitely call him again for more home repairs."

"Over the years, we have used a number of contractors to remodel our home. By far, C. McNearney, LLC tops the list. The firm provided excellent quality work in the remodel of our master bedroom bathroom, completed the work on schedule, on time and within the agreed upon budget, and suggested very helpful design and product assistance. The project was a complete remodel of the bathroom that included removing everything. The shower was expanded in size with a built-in bench. The shower and the floor were tiled. The tile work done by C. McNearney is simply lovely. The grouting looks perfect. The shower was completed with a glass door. New fixtures were installed and relocated in the shower and replaced in the cabinet. Charles and his staff were a delight to have working in our home. Having a high quality remodel completed on time was worth what we paid. The bathroom looks great. We are pleased to highly recommend C. McNearney LLC."

"We came across Pacific NW Cabinetry through an Angie?s List Big Deal offer a couple of years ago. We loved Crystal?s initial design and she was very easy to brainstorm with so when we were ready to move forward, we contacted her. We ordered maple cabinets, prairie-style doors, crown molding, cushion close hardware, and chose the color Pebble. I am not a fan of the tan color. Perhaps it needs to be a little darker or lighter but after adding the door/drawer hardware and all things kitchen, it is growing on me. Our kitchen is galley-style, 21 feet long with the new cabinets on both sides ? uppers and lowers except where two windows and one doorway are located. Regarding the Wellborn cabinets themselves, they are nice quality. Just the top drawer of a three-drawer cabinet is too shallow that we can only store flat cooking utensils. Price includes cabinet installation, paint and painting, door and drawer cushion close hardware; excludes door/drawer handles and cost of design.

Crystal and PNWC were great to work with. We needed to push out our original start date several times since we severely underestimated how long it would take to gut and prep the kitchen. They stuck with us. The install went smoothly. About 2 days for the install of the cabinets (Joe did excellent work!!!); about 4 days prepping and painting the cabinets (only the doors were painted prior to installation); 2 days for hardware installation and final touchup. Our kitchen is very functional and we LOVE the breakfast bar that Crystal designed.

The prepping/painting process went the least smoothly (I believe they were a third party company). It took 2 people, 2 days to mask yet several areas were missed. Crystal addressed this with the painter but unfortunately there was still a lot of overspray. The painter was great and did come back spending most of a day repainting the walls.

Otherwise, a very positive experience. After gutting and prepping the kitchen, I am glad that we did not attempt to design and install the cabinets. It was a luxury for us to have someone else do the work and it was money well spent. The kitchen looks great and it is so fun to cook in!
Thank you Crystal, Joe, and Pacific NW Cabinetry!!!"

"We have used Classic Pro Contractors in the past and will continue to have David and his crew be our number one company to call with a painting and/or repair need. He got the work done on time, did a great job, and stayed in communication with us the whole time. He is definitely a person we will continue to use.

"I have lived in this house for 25 years, and the only project I truly feared was siding.  I have made LOTS of changes to the property  over time, but always stopped short of siding.  This was a scary project, but I signed-up because of Fine Finish Remodeling's reputation on Angie's list, etc.   Also, the siding REALLY needed to be replaced -- in some areas, it was practically held together by paint.  Other exterior improvements (roof, front door and garage door) were being done by other contractors, during the same time period.

-- Mark Stevens is owner / contractor of Fine Finish Remodeling.  He did an excellent job of communicating and moving this project along, and referring out to others as needed.  The supervisor,  Kevin Dunsworth was great, and the house shows that.

-- Delays happened, because they do.  The contractor had some issues. The weather was sometimes lousy.  PARR lumber delivered some of the materials to somewhere else, which stopped work for about a week.  Holidays happened. People had illnesses.   Siding work stopped while  the roof was repaired and replaced (2 days).  ETC.   In general, I was impressed to watch the changes take shape.  I believe it all moved along as quickly as it could.

--I was part of the problem too.  Two different garage door companies had volunteered their opinion that I could have one BIG garage door, rather than 2 smaller doors, if I wanted to do that.  It would be no problem, according to them.  I talked to Mark, about this, and he told me what could happen if the garage door men were wrong, and recommended I consult a  structural engineer first.  He gave me a name; I called; and the short version is a huge new beam was needed.  It took 6 men to lift that into place.  The final garage door outcome is perfect. Many thanks to Mark for coordinating the extra work my super-sized garage door required.

--Logistically, the siding was removed and replaced from sides and back of house first, leaving the street appearance somewhat intact until the end.  Hardie Plank siding comes with color, but the trim is just primed, so my family did a lot of painting in our garage, and other locations.  Kevin was kind enough to give warning when there was trim to paint for an inside angle, since that would have been nasty to do after it was installed.  I had one area outside the master bedroom that had always looked strange, for the way the old trim and siding met under the eaves.  I pointed that out, and Kevin fixed it with the new trim and siding.

--When the house was finished, it was slightly wider than it used to be, sufficiently that the downspouts no longer fit. Mark gave me the names of area gutter companies, and the first one came right out and made new downspouts and cleaned the gutters too for a great price.

--The house exterior is done, and it looks great-- and the street noises are much quieter, and odd drafts are gone.  My scary project turned out to be a good experience with a happy outcome."
