"Bathroom was seriously outdated, by about 50 years, in a 90-year old house. Project included new fixtures, tiling, and plumbing and heating repairs. Came out great. There were numerous other fixes and repairs needed in the rest of house--electrical, plumbing, heating, appliance installation, which were often difficult because of retrofitting an old house, tight spaces, and hodge podge of modifications over the years. Contractor did great work and was a good trouble shooter and problem solver for an older and challenging house. Willing to work with me so I purchase materials when I preferred to do that. Showed up on time, worked hard, did more than expected, and got the job(s) done!"

"<p>I go there for every oil change and tires rotation. They do an extremely good job. I trust them, they are really a great carshop. My daughter and her husband go there and a lot of my neighbors now go there. It is family owned and a local business. He is really great and cares about doing a good job. One time they rotated my tires and it was pulling right. I took it back he drove it, re rotated, test drove again and it started pulling left. He re-rotated them again and got it better and he mentioned to change the tires and gave me some numbers. They are good people.  I can usually get in the same week I call, if it is an emergency they get you in right away. I got hit and called and asked if I could tow it there Before I was done with the police report they had already written the damages and had it ready for the insurance company. </p>"

"Working with Grogg’s from the very first step of the HVAC replacement process, which was the estimate process and walk-thru, to the completion of the installation and familiarization with the technicians, the entire experience was pleasant and very professional. Keith Blair came to the house and gave estimates on several packages adding zero pressure to select the one that best suited us and our home. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and made everything easily understandable to help us make a sound decision on replacing our 37 year old furnace. Once we selected the HVAC system for our home, dealing with Grogg’s administration and financial personnel was also an easy and seamless process, as we came to terms with a great finance program with an affordable payment plan. We then scheduled the work 10 days into the near future, which was done as scheduled and completed within the two days they promised. Technicians Ryan & Josh did a great job as the removed the old system and installed the new one with great attention to housekeeping and detail. Andrew & Dominick also came in on day one and cleaned the air ducts which we thought would be a messy process, but they minimized dust and even the noise that accompanies their equipment allowing both my wife and myself to work from home with zero interruptions as they all worked in the basement and throughout the house. In all the job was very well done. The new furnace and new A/C both work great and look great. We decided to use Grogg’s for our HVAC replacement based on some "word of mouth" advice from several colleagues at work. We are so glad for their advice as we are extremely pleased with Grogg's work and service, the customer attention they afforded us, and the final outcome."

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Went very well. The company was a pleasure to deal with in all respects and did what they said, on schedule. It was a major job that involved excavating under a porch and extending drainage lines way into the back yard, completed over a couple of weeks. At the end of the project, I believed that the slope of a section of the reconstructed front walk was not quite right. Randy had his guys back out here within a couple of days to redo it. We'd had a major water problem in the basement since buying the house over 10 years ago. CWI did the waterproofing in the spring, and we've had a couple of long, heavy rains since then. Basement is now completely dry."

"Overall it was a pretty good experience as everything I wanted done, got done. Original talks with the “chat” function led me to purchasing a bunch of recommended items for my install. Once my full day electrician Dan had arrived, about 90 min passed the blocked time due to an additional service call he was scheduled for which had some issues, he immediately identified what I was informed to purchase was incorrect and got me on track and where we needed to be. He also mentioned my planned job would normally be a day and a half or two day event. This job was installing a sub panel in my shed to include running 180+ feet of thick 6/3 UF wire from the house panel to the shed. Providing dedicated circuits for my pool pump, French drain sump pump, and power for inside the shed to use for my tools and a shop light as well. I did help for the entire day and he really appreciated my hard work which made this a one day Job. I Couldn’t be happier with the work Dan performed and the Knowledge he has. Would have appreciated a little more accurate initial chat support so I didn’t have to make so many Lowe's trips, specifically the wire, which the correct wire was 4x the cost of the “suggested” wire. Final thoughts. If someone books a Full Day Electrician appointment, that assigned electrician, should not be taking service calls as he has a full day appointment scheduled. That’s poor Business planning and makes the electrician look bad if he’s not at the “blocked” call time. Dan made the event flat out awesome. Friendly, professional, and most of all a really hard worker. Super happy with the work he did and most of all, we got everything finished in one session like I planned for. Jason Nelson"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Clarksburg, WV

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
