"Met with Chad at my home, he was awesome and very professional! Chad was very detailed about all the steps it would take to replace my roof, I honestly felt at ease with him. I was not pressured in any way to go with their company, He assured me if there were any concerns they would quickly resolved those issues and they did. "It went pretty well. There was some tape residue left on our hardwood floors from the installers using blue painter's tape. We were reimbursed for the damages. However, I would recommend that they don't do this on future customers' floors, especially in an older home like ours."

"Evaluated two companies to do the work. Obtained names of these firms from Angie's List.  Both ' A Cheaper Chimney Sweeper' and the other firm came to my home to evaluate situation and quoted a price to stop the leaking.  Though the other firm seemed a little more polished felt more comfortable with Lee, the owner.
Work began promptly on the day we agreed upon (March 2014). Lee accompanied the two fellows that did the work. Kevin and Al.  Kevin being the lead person.  Nice guy.
Unfortunately, despite a valiant effort in digging down around the outside basement wall (in muddy conditions) the basement continued to leak.  My recollection was that Lee and Kevin said it wouldn't and if it did, call them.
I did and Lee & Kevin returned to inspect the situation.  A new date was established (Sept. 2014).  Kevin returned, we agreed upon a little more money to make it right'.  Once again, a valiant effort by both Kevin and his assistant, Al.  This time I even permitted them to remove a shrub near the porch so they could really have access to the exterior basement wall. Unfortunately, the basement leak continued.  We attempted to establish a 'return' date.  Kevin kept making dates to return but was never able to keep the appointments.  Later he and I managed to connect on the phone and he expressed his sincere desire to stop the leak for me.  
Finally, had a 'text message' conversation with Kevin (think it was a text message).  In that conversation Kevin indicated it was beginning to get cold out and the tar they use would work better if we waited until the warmer weather (Spring '15).  Sure hope I hear from them soon!  The spring thaw is about to begin and I'm getting really concerned as I know this is when the leaking begins!  They really seem like honorable guys; it's just that the problem still isn't fixed.  Once it is I'll be happy to revise my 'Ratings' of   'A Cheaper Chimney Sweeper'.  Was hard to do at this time as I feel as though 'I'm in limbo.'

"It all went very well. They were extremely knowledgeable, knew exactly what had to be done. This job was done in the fall of 2012. The following spring, there were some areas that did not grow. I called and they sent someone out right away to assess the problem. They sent a crew out right away to redo the areas that didn't grow. They did not charge any additional fees. They went above and beyond to make things right and to make sure I was completely satisfied. I would recommend them for any job that they are able to do, whether it be lawn care or remodeling, or windows. They are a very reputable business and I trust them. Their prices were far less than than the other 6 or so that I received quotes on.

"We chose SureGuard even though we had better quotes from other companies because we were sold on promise that work would be completed by their crews and supervised by their foreman daily. We loved the idea of hiring a local business that uses their own crews. It was obvious once work began that SureGuard was subcontracting work to other companies, and they did not send their foreman with these crews. The paint crew arrived and didn’t seem to have a complete picture of the work to be performed. They were difficult to communicate with and we had questions about the quality of their workmanship. I ended up having to place calls with their office to address my concern. To SureGuards credit, they did send out someone the following morning and my concerns were addressed. The work did turn out ok in the end, however the process was stressful. Had we known they were going to sub out the work we would have gone with the other bids. I would consider them for roofing, which appears to be their core business."

"I had a contractor put on an entire roof for me in 2009 and for the past 4 years every spring the roof would leak they would send out a subcontractor go up on the roof do some patch work and it would hold until the next spring. This year they sent out Martino Home Improvements first thing Mr. Martino came in the house and inspected all the way to the roof to see where the problem was took pictures inside and out and told the original contractor that they needed to tear off everything including the boards and start from scratch in that area. The project manager Jay kept me informed all along the way and when the crew showed up they were very professional explained what they were going to do put in a whole day of tear off and replacing the wood the underlayment and the shingles cleaned up after themselves and with all the rain we have had here recently we haven't had a leak.
